New LED Lights For The Truck

- we got some new lights for the truck. they mount up underneath the doors and sleeper. we got them from www.boogeylights.com. So far we really like them and get lots of comments. the remote has several functions, and you can download their app and do even more. you can choose from any color of the rainbow, have them flash or pulse, or anything you want.

Hey man really liked your video. I have one suggestion, make sure you ad some wire loom around those wires especially where you have it running through the body panel into the underside of the truck. If not that body panel will rub and cut that wire over time. Again, love those lights, need to get some for my Pete.

Hey Gerardo, thank you. We’ve had them for 2 years now. I’ve got a few diodes burned out and a couple that are off color, but they’re still doing good 😊 DON’T USE THEM IN VIRGINIA AND WEST VIRGINIA. We almost got a citation over them, I had them set on kind of a turquoise color. The officer let us go when I showed him I can make them “yellow” but we keep them off now in those two states. 😊

That’s nothing but a rbg light kit. We use rbg lights at Christmas time for decorations. We get kits off Amazon for $40. I bet Boogey lights were a lot more.
Yeah they might be but these are weather proof lights and they make a heavy-duty set for putting on the back or near your fuel tanks so it won't mess them up. I've had a set on my truck since 2016 same set been through everything snow ice rain heat cold and they still work and are just as bright as day one. Those lights off Amazon i went through about 3 rolls of them things they don't last in the weather.
Had any bears or DOT pull you over for these lights?

I made the same thing, twice as bright for like 50 bucks and a 6 pack of beer.

Well.....I can tell you Virginia did not like them being purple. We talked our way out of a citation, but he said they had to be either yellow or red going down the road.

Just like all social media tho, you only tend to see the fun exciting things that happen and not how we look after a 14 hour/ 700 mile day. It’s an honest living out here, and we do enjoy it most days, lol, but it is hard also. We’re away from home 2-4 weeks at a time and therefore we miss a lot of stuff at home. I guess it’s a love/hate thing, lol.

Is this legal by DOT?
Well, only if they are lit up yellow. I’ve had them on different colors and had DOT guys comment on how much they liked them. THEN, in Virginia, I had a DOT guy wanting to write me a citation. He told me if I could make them yellow, he’d let me go. I made them yellow, he was shocked and I waved goodbye 😊

DOT not approved. California any light behind fender facing sideways orange backwards red. I got ticket for having plain orange turn signal facing back on mirror of classic xl.
