I tried the McRib from McDonald's.
Yeah the McRib always comes back in fall in the midwest u.s. You can also get it at a grocery store though too takes no time to heat up and add your own special fixings.

because people of 90 we're much harder to impress or made shut they'r mouth.. today you can get away whit everything ! even whit crimes.. and people today get easyly impressed ( because they lack education criticism and knowlegde )

Here in Germany McRib is on the normal menu, I love it.
I live in England and I wish we still had it!! It had a period where it would appear unannounced for a month every year but that stopped about 4 years ago 😔

i'm surprised Burger King actually had some fries you shake in a bag with some flavor powder. McDonald's and Jollibee here in the Philippines sell the same thing, plus Potato Corner basically thrives on that concept without you doing the shaking

Yeah you were only probably making 20k or less a year. Also back then they weren’t making 15 dollars an hour to flip a burger.
Yes I can and wasn't lmao 60s. Money numbers mean nothing. Its % of what one spends on what or in other words your purchasing power. Also quality to be considered. Example last time a taco and other with a drink for a buck ( Canada 89c USA ) was 1980/ in 70s before wasn't such a combo. Lol even McDonald's then only had a very few combos. Lol slurpees hadn't even taken off yet. Realize then min wage after taxes deductions etc in 1980 USA highest paid state was only 4.35 gross about 3 net and in Alaska. Food quality and quantity is farrrrrr cheaper now than then.
McDonald's pizza was actually very tasty just not filling. If added double toppings was excellent and still cheaper than even domino's. Problem was that added time yet not simply saying while we're McDonald's and can give you fast tasty burger fries etc orders pizza takes say 10 to 15 minutes longer. Only needed to be honest off the bat. Also family wise could've as it as while you and family wait we have a family pizza happy meal here's toys a snack now while you wait happy appetizer pre meal. Lol holy s McDonald's! You had the whole family trapped and happy if done this way!!! Plus no fawkn ball pit bs.
@@terryarmbruster9719 I dont see that at all. Minimum wage in a lot of states today is $10. A MEDIUM BigMac meal at McDonalds today is $7.49. There was no way back then someone was working nearly an hour for a basic McDonalds meal.

Lol you know what the overall purchasing power change for median household income was 1980 vs 2020 was in 2020 money value terms was? 800$ only which isn't even a week's of today's median income. You come home then as now with essentially the same amount of food whether grocery or restaurant bought. LOL and you know what CLEARLY accounts for that $800 difference... Device youre using now didn't exist then not did its costs. Lol dude in 1980 we had a thing called MASSIVE INFLATION lmao. Why reinvent the wheel? Plus, since onions don't naturally grow in "nugget" shapes, makes you wonder what's in them.
At least with "rings" there's a pretty good chance it's a *real* onion in all of that breading.

if you loved and miss shake em up fries like i do, the best way to recreate them is get popcorn flavoring shake-ons. they have chedder, white chedder, garlic parmesan and chile limon flavors that i've seen. hope this inspires many of you
I loved the waffle taco! You had to get it with sausage, but somehow it all worked together. I often lament it's discontinuation.
We still have shake em up fries in Hong Kong, it’s seasonal but always come out with new favor+ 3 old ones.
And we always have new products every season, I have seen Mc Rice, or even crispy rice burgers before.
The Orlando McDonalds doesn’t just have the pizza- they have a huge menu with many items you can’t get at any other McDonalds.
Also, it’s 2 stories and has an arcade.

I was working at Wendy's when the pitas started. They were a nightmare to make, but not as bad as the McPizza, I guess. We actually had instructions that making each pita should take at least a minute, which did not miss well with shouts of "where's my order?"

Wendy's Salad Bar was amazing! Really miss it as it was always fresh & very inexpensive.

That was my first job, working at Wendy’s and stocking that damn salad bar. It was an absolute nightmare job that no one ever, ever wanted to do (you had to pull the decorative kale every hour and soak it in ice water I mean come on lol). So while I’m glad you liked it I don’t miss it’s passing! 😂

Here in Texas you can still get the Enchirito at (the best fast food taco chain) Taco Casa. It's called the Chilada and is amazing.

I definitely miss the enchirrito from Taco Bell. Also miss the McChicken wraps from McDonald's and the Rotisserie Gold chicken from KFC.
I never tried the McChicken wraps-were they any good?

@@pooky-bellegaming4089 yes especially for me since I don't eat at McDonald's much. Not a fan of their burgers. So whenever I went I got something chicken related. They had a few different flavors. My favorite was the crispy ranch one.
Some TB’s will still make it if you ask for it. I used to do that when the Cheesy Gordita Crunch wasn’t a permanent menu item. And was 1.99

I worked at a McDonald’s back in 2001-2002. I remember a lot of items that used to be on the menu that silently went away. Does everyone remember the Big N Tasty (replaced the Arch Deluxe)?
Some of the items I remember: Cajun chicken sandwich, McOnion double, McDonald’s pita sandwich, McGrilled chicken sandwich, salad shakers, snack wraps, and the breakfast bagels (this was before the McGriddle and they came with sausage, bacon, or steak iirc)
They still do breakfast bagels at McDonald's where I live but they long since discontinued my favorite the Southwest Breakfast Bagel.

Big and Tasty was fire. It was called Big Xtra at first. Shit was .99 back in my high school days. $3 got you 2 big xtra’s and a coke.
The BK ribs are interesting. It failed because it was too good. Doesn’t happen often.

My favorite discontinued fast food item is the grilled onion cheddar burger from McDonald's. It was only $1, and it was delicious!!

I remember they also have a burger with tortillas strips and BBQ sauce in it (I don't remember what they called it) that was also only a dollar, and that was go-to item at McDonald's for a while before it, too, was discontinued.

I definitely miss the CCB as well. It was fantastic & less than $1 at the time.
McDonald's has not had breakfast steak for a long time.

Most recently I miss the Cravings Box and Mexican Pizza from Taco Bell. I refuse to eat there any more since they kept taking away the things I actually enjoy.

Taco Bell has systematically gotten rid of every favorite item in my family's normal orders. Mexican pizza, Doritos taco, fiesta potatoes, double decker... it's like they get rid of all of their best stuff! At least they DID bring the potatoes back... or I _think_ they did? Who the hell knows, they're always changing their menu!
That's happened to me too. I miss their gorditas and the doubledillas.
I miss when they had corn as a topping in the 90's as well. That was my favorite kind.

The Bell Beefer was great 😋, I loved them when I worked at Taco Bell in the 70's. The Enchurito was 😋 too.

I used to work at McDonald's when the arch deluxe came out. The beef patty was different than the 1/4 pounder. It was pretty good. Sad it didn't last.

Pretty hard to find an actual spicy food item from a fast food chain. Typically I just get something without the normal sauce and bring it home to pair with hot sauces I have at home.
I miss the volcano burrito. Also, those Pringles are surprisingly good.
I remember eating one of those bacon sundaes and throwing up everywhere in the car when we were almost home.

The Enchirito was awsome. When they still had the green chile sauce, that on an enchirito was excellent.
They forgot the taco light...or taco lite....i dont remember but it was a fried flour tortilla shell taco. The shell always broke so im sure that was the reason they scratched it. But again, everyone loved it.
BK had a rather dubious problem to with the Halloween Whopper. Due to the deep food coloring used to make the buns black customers discovered that their exit from their body was a very unnatural dark green. The sandwich was rapidly recalled.
There was also the McBrat I think. (And one of my personal favorites, the Insider Pizza from Pizza Hut! That thing was practically more addictive than crack to me as a kid! And now I don’t even live near a Pizza Hut to get a stuffed crust fix… poor me…)

Taco Bell did away with some menu items last year, including my favorite, the 7-layer burrito. And who remembers their menu fresco option, where you could replace the sour cream with pico de gallo on many items for free?
I wish McDonald's had kept the fish deluxe sandwich. I like the Filet o'fish, but it's wish there was more to it.

They had shake fires here in Aus. They still might, I haven't been to Macca's in a while.
When I worked at Taco Bell, there were phonetic spellings of some of the menu items (Tah-co).
That didn't stop one guy from ordering a bu-rye-oh and two take-ohs.
The Bellbeefer was called by one woman "bell pepper".
The Cinnamon Crispas, which are now Cinnamon Twists were a serious stumbling block. Cinnamon Crispers. Crustos. Those Crispy Things. Seen-ah-mohn Creespahss (from the White fellow who thought it was a spanish phrase).
We always sold this woman the least expensive burrito (our choices were bean, beef, combination and supreme), but English was not her first language.
Her: Four Burritos.
Me: Mild or spicy?
Her: Yes.
My favorite exchange and to this day, one I don't understand:
HIM: I'd like a burrito.
ME: Bean, beef, combination or supreme?
HIM: SUPREME! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! SUPREME! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I didn't see it mentioned in the comments (there's a lot) but one item I really liked that seemed to be discontinued quickly was Wendy's 4-Alarm Chicken Sandwich. Had jalapenos, pepperjack cheese and hot sauce. Sooo goood!

I grew up in Spencer, WV. I remember our McDonald's was one of the last to have pizzas. Growing up poor it was so awesome to be on high school to go get 4 pizzas for $20. And they were great pizza's. And i can remember the first time my Mom took me to get a McKribb, I try to get one every year they have one

I can't find a McD's Big Xtra or a KFC wrapstar here in my SW part of Canada.
Big Xtras were just cheap QPs but the Wrapstar was worth the $8 cnd.

I still dream of the Banana Nerds McFlurry from McDonalds I had one time in the late 90s. They also had fried chicken wings that were awesome. I was hopeful that’d be a seasonal menu item around the super bowl.

All I want back is the apples/grapes with yogurt and nuts those were so good I also miss the yogurts with strawberry and blueberry.I remember staying up for my mom(who worked until night) she would come home at like 1am and I would stay awake just to get some yogurt

Burger King BK Brawler Grilled Chicken Sandwich It Was The Size Of The Whopper, they also had a big fish Sandwich too that was also the exact same size of the whopper....
In the early ‘00s, BK had something called a Chicken Whopper-essentially a fancy grilled chicken sandwich with a chicken breast fillet that was the size of a Whopper burger patty. It was one of my favorites!

The McDLT and Pizza Hut's Priazzo stuffed pizzas are what I miss most.
For whatever reason, the last time I was in a McDonalds the McDLT was still on the menu. I eat plenty of fast food, but was never a big McDonalds guy. My mainstays were at first BK, then Carls Jr, and now Culvers.
When life was simple and so good. Love the nostalgia.
The arch deluxe was my jam... I tried one because I was a kid and wanted to see if it really was just for adults and was sure liked it.

I love the McRib! I always buy McRibs as soon as it comes out. Unfortunately at my age now, it gives me heartburn. I'll eat two, and then stop until the next promotion. I'm surprised Burger King's hotdogs aren't in this video. Maybe it wasn't popular enough. They were too salty and the chili dogs were the worst.
