ragnar97 Oh really? This video was made in December of 2005, Chocolate Rain was made in 2007, AGK in 2006, pretty much every single viral video ever made was made afterwards. The reason why I said this video made TH-cam is because, yes, it did, people wanted to watch this sketch again and so uploaded it to TH-cam, which was still obscure at the time but became popular overnight as a result.
VideogameDemocracy Well i may be wrong about the dates, but again, most of the world doesn't know lonely island or SNL, but they do know youtube. How do you explain that if this video MADE youtube?

So most people who know this sketch also know about how "The Office" (the American show) had Michael and Dwight make their own version of this skit, "Lazy Scranton", as an introductory video for several new employees during Season 3. Given how many people have seen The Office, it's actually likely that way more people know "Lazy Scranton" than know about "Lazy Sunday", and don't realize that Michael and Dwight's dumb video and rap were based on an SNL sketch. However, most Office viewers probably missed the moment in the show when Michael first heard about "Lazy Sunday", which occurred only three episodes prior. In that episode, Michael Scott and Stanley Hudson get very excited over "Pretzel Day", where the owners of their business park give everyone a free soft pretzel. At one point, the scene cuts to Michael standing in the long line for pretzels, intently focused on making sure that no one cuts to the front, while his employee Kelly jabbers in his ear. However, if you listen, you'll hear Kelly is talking about a music video where "They're acting all tough but they're really just rapping about cupcakes and the Chronicles of Narnia!", clearly referencing "Lazy Sunday"!
