    Agreeing with some caveats:
I was homeschooled all the way through high school and I absolutely agree on the benefits of seeing the variety of conflict resolution and education you can receive in the house.
AND I would tack on to that: having those same homeschooled kids take a class at the local community college in high school, or an advanced placement class at the local school. I say partially because children will benefit from classes that a parent may not have the expertise to teach themself, but also to see the diversity of social interactions and *expectations* that they do not have to deal with every day, all day.

Not to mention, no where else in their lives will they be cloistered together with people all the same age like they are in mainstream school systems. It's so beneficial to have multi age and multi generational influences and relationships. Older kids teaching/ helping/ learning patience skills with younger children. ❤️ And real life lessons aren't learned in the mainstreaming classroom. They're learned in real life.

The fact that we are STILL having this conversation in 2024, in the US, w/INCREDIBLE access to child (& human) dev't research, shows how brainwashed people really are.
I was homeschooled in middle school, then home educated mine all the way through. I've worked in after-school, public, & private daycare, then certified in Montessori. The lack of comprehension & critical thinking skills continues to astonish me. 🙄
So, I'm being the change I wish to see in the world.
For the last 9 years, I've been supporting home educating children & families through tutoring.
Hold on to your informed convictions!! 🙌

Why not just send your kids to a public school?

A Million reasons, primarily the quality of education

The public school systems have been degrading over time. Parents want better for their kids. Mental health is an issue, focus, willing teachers, unnecessary scheduling, unnecessary studies. Homeschooling is not for everyone, neither is public schooling. It takes dedication, patience and understanding how your kiddo learns things. A class full of kids is taught with a one size fits all style, which is a recipe for some to be left behind.
Children are a precious resource for our future and homeschool parents know this and act.

It's so ironic that I have to say, do your homework. 😁
Ask questions. Who? What? When? Where? Why? How?
I'll get you started. Fill in the blank. The United States public education system is based from a factory model in ____ .
True or false: The purpose of a government-run "education" is to create the best possible person /citizen.
      Enjoy your journey 🙂👍

Homeschool is the only safe option.
