Leporello the Goldfinch - Birdtaming Tips & Tricks . I was just thinking Mr. Hader sounds just like they sounded in old movies and what not. Funny shit
Wow. Maybe the best idea I've ever read in youtube comments. He's so spot on with the cadence and various sounds of it, seems so at ease, it would be an easy listen.
He’s just one of those guys who has the God-given ability to stretch his voice, face and body into the character like an alien creature who kills then mutates and imitates humans
Shut the fuck up and take your meds you bitter incel. Lots of women like Bill Hader. He also married someone gorgeous and talented before he even got famous.
Linny Crocus right lmaoo also I love their implication that you just...... regularly stop people on the street because they’re attractive. In that regard, bitter bitch boy is right, Bill wouldn’t have been stopped because that would be fucking insane
I just got into SNL this year and after watching bits from the different eras I can't get over how amazing the cast was around this time. I enjoy the current run as well, but this was perfection. So happy most of them went on to do great stuff after their turn on SNL.
@@linnycrocus6023 yep with barry, emmys, amazing performance as richie in IT2 😆 in the skit, he's playing a character, charming really but in reality he's just a dork, a genius, talented, genuine one. so he's doing great 💕
What stark difference are you referring to? The voices or the methods? Plenty of characters in American films talk with a reserved, dignified tone like the one Hader’s using. Any aristocrat, scholar, or jewel thief is likely to sound like that. And we can find fast-talking bombastic guys in British films too, any cockney criminal or proverbial chimney sweep. Or are you talking about the classical theatre approach to performance (“wouldn’t you like to rehearse first?”) vs. a less formal more energetic style?
Not really close to that, but there's a film called Russian Ark where the entire film is shot in one. No cuts, or anything like that. No joke. Look it up.
I thought he was going to continue even after the scene was over and the actors leave so then he does all the parts himself and the entire movie is in one take.
This reminds me of student films I've worked on just because the director doesn't feel like slating again. But a reset makes it harder on everyone in post
Those weren't the mics they used in 1941. Well played in justifying them in order to not to hide them. Anyway, Kenan's face while "playing" the trumpet is the best.
I love SNL sketches. I can't help feel that they're always 10% short. Every sketch has the potential to be hilarious but seems to have the handbrake on. Is it the American audience? Or the broadcast time? I laugh, but never from my bollocks. Love it all the same. Is it partly improvised?
I'm confused... this video should've reached more than a million views for being hilarious. plus bill hader, kristen wiig, and andy samberg in one skit.
I'd pay good money for an audiobook read by Bill Hader in his old-timey voice.

He's doing a killer George Sanders accent
Like number 1000
I'd give half my soul and a bottle of scotch for that
bill's voice is so rich and kristen's is just heaven
That 1940's mid-atlantic accent
They are two of the best ever - sorry - EVAH!
Bobby's was shockingly great as well
And Andy! Well he’s just Andy
Bill Hader has such a relaxing 1920's/30's/40's voice. It's so damn natural.
When Wiig does Hepburn, Liza or Ann Margaret, I feel like I was transported back to 1950 and it’s so friggin great there.
keenan miming playing the trumpet by JUST smiling is the highlight of this sketch
One of SNL’s finest moments imo. 👌🏻👌🏻
By god that trumpet is playing itself! lol..
Omfg 😂 😂
Then he wipes his brow. 😂😂
@@danielgoldberg5357 yeah it was good as hell tbh
Hader seems so authentic.
Beginning to believe he might actually be a timetraveller.
He’s actually an amazing actor. That man is so talented!
He’s just one of those guys who has the God-given ability to stretch his voice, face and body into the character like an alien creature who kills then mutates and imitates humans
This has John Mulaney's fingerprints on it.
The part where he laughed at the dog and said “that wouldn’t happen in the wild” is what makes me agree with you
100%
Haha I made your comment 420 likes

oh my god, why is no one talking about how good andy samberg looks? he’s just amazing!!
Because he always does and everyone got used to it and takes it for granted😂
I love the way he backs up.
It has me laughing so much
Bill Hader is amazing and looks wonderful with hair like that
If you had seen him on the street before the SNL gig, you wouldn't even acknoledge his existance.

PeRuN the Riffmeister well when he started on SNL I was maybe 5 years old, so I’d bet you’re right

Ridiculous skit topped off with Keenan's amazing Louie Armstrong at the end. Hilarious.
Bill Hader is amazing. One of the best in SNL.
I love Andy's backwards run.
Bill Hader would probably be more successful if he were born in the 20s. Like a superstar instead of a star.
ProspyVideos nah. Then he wouldn't have anything to act off of.
Great c.Comedians with acting chops - love the Louis Armstrong salute from Keenan.
Nah...he's doing pretty great now =)

This skit is John Mulaney’s brain
Bill and Andy's contrast perfectly articulated the stark difference between British entertainment and American entertainment in the 1930s and 40s

Bill's voice!!! Ahhhhh....
Bill even does the accent of the time. Such a talent
Bill hader looks perfect in this , the hair ,the voice ,the suit aaagggg ❤️❤️ I love him ❤️❤️
Bill Haders voice is amazing!!
I love the little walkback he does after each take
MY EARS ARE BURNING BUT I DIDN'T LIGHT A Q-TIP
It was meant to be a (groan) bad joke, but it must have worked a charm on a a certain audience
Stolen from the Simpsons...
HAAA
One Take Tony... That shouldn't be his naamee!😂
Carmen Pedroza that's the joke...
Tyler Jaynes 😂😂 I know. ppl comment their fav lines. that was mine
Hader looks hot in black and white xD
Chicken Permission he looks hot in every filter especially no filter
Chicken Permission Hader looks hot almost always
Uh. Most people do. It's very flattering.
oh honey, he look hot in color too
Lmfaooo I love how he doesn’t have the trumpet to his lips
Andy is the cutest guy in the world
Yeah
He is butt
Andy Samsberg is such a hottie
Who?
Jason C the guy who plays Tony is Andy Samberg
I'd smash EVERYONE in the skit
Yeah lol he is
@@tr4nsd0n4ld3 hear hear
some sketches feel like they were written after 36 hours without sleep and I love it
Especially the shirtless bible salesman.
They did a good job satirizing 1940’s vocal styles.
Yeah what's up people's voices back then? I guess we do the same thing
keenan was amazing :)
ye he saved the sketch
He's always bad with props, but he wasn't even trying here.
Cory Mck I think that was kind of the point.
Andy was amazing! Aaand bill saying you’re a dumb man- lmfao
Bill Hader in British accent is just too good for this world!
Bill Hader voice is priceless hahaha
Bill and Kristen's voice and accents were perfect.
Samberg sauntering backwards at 2m40s HILARIOUS!
Kenan as Loui Amstrong, love that son of a gun
Nobody can run backwards like Andy!
'Egg creams' in Tinseltown? Interesting choice of beverages.
Bill is channeling William Daniell and Reginald Gardiner simultaneously!! BRIILIANT.
I thought it was just a twist on his James Mason impression.
I love this accent that bill does 😍 😍
It had everything: Andy Samberg being a fool, Louis Armstrong imitation and Bobby Moynihan clapping a clapper board
I sing "One take tony, that shouldn't be his naaaaame" all the time and sadly no one gets it so I just mostly sing it to myself.
Bill Hader "old-British" voice is my favorite.
I'd see an ENTIRE film by this cast in this format.
Not really close to that, but there's a film called Russian Ark where the entire film is shot in one. No cuts, or anything like that. No joke. Look it up.
This sketch is so dumb but I love it. I can't believe it works but it does. The actors have incredible chemistry.
I thought he was going to continue even after the scene was over and the actors leave so then he does all the parts himself and the entire movie is in one take.
Busted out laughing when I saw Keenan 🤣
1:41 "Pardon me ma'am, I just had sex with a bicycle"
😵
Keenan at the end lol
you know what, when I see a video thumbnail with Kristen Wiig on it, I click it.
Andy andy bill owned snl. That era had the best actors and writers.
Also Andy is the coolest guy on earth
Satchmo was so talented that he could play the trumpet without ever making contact with the mouthpiece!
Bill could have been on Downton!
Andy looks so good here I’m shaking
Lol the wig cap separating from his head freaked me out. For a second I thought his face was gashed open.
Andy Samberg looks so good I'm in love🫣
That fucking outro could not be any louder, jeez...
Kristen Wiig is drop dead gorgeous
Keenan did perfectly
This reminds me of student films I've worked on just because the director doesn't feel like slating again. But a reset makes it harder on everyone in post
prime Samberg silliness, love this skit 😄👌
Keenan at the end effing kills me 🤣🤣🤣
Ok but I lost it when Keenan came on screen playing a trumpet without actually playing omg
Andy n Bill looks so hndsm 😘😘
"It's wearing a hat, that'll never happen in the wild!"
oh my god bill hader looks GOOD
Bill's Lon Chaney Jr is a perfect James Mason.
Those weren't the mics they used in 1941. Well played in justifying them in order to not to hide them. Anyway, Kenan's face while "playing" the trumpet is the best.
Gonso96 what mic?

kristen looks like edith from allo allo 😂
Bill Hader: 1:50
Fred Armisen: 1:52
Bill: 1:53-2:06
That super loud sax at the end is so refreshing. 😵 🎷
Love Andy!
OMG THAT BILL HADER IS ALIVE AND ACTING.. WHAT A WONDER THAT BILL HADER.. OMG!!
Kenan was the best part 😂😂😂
I'm confused... this video should've reached more than a million views for being hilarious. plus bill hader, kristen wiig, and andy samberg in one skit.
Aaaand from the brilliant mind of John Mulaney 😎
Damn I knew there had to be a reason I loved this sketch so much.
John Mulaney honestly saved SNL.
I always misremember Tony as being played by John Mulaney.
Mulaney does not have that kind of energy.
Bill Hader is totally channeling George Sanders here and I am living for it.
So good!
Fucking Kenan at the end of this killed me, lmao.
‘you’re a dumb man’ LMAO
Kristen did not know Andy was going to break that table, she was horrified.
Can you feel it? I can. Feels good.
I need Hader and Wiig to do these voices in an audio play of the great Gatsby
Kenan's trumpet isnt even on his mouth and i love it.
"i am a professional! i do not break on camera" i feel like that was a direct insult to hader
Lol true Andy really NEVER breaks
Andy Samberg is soooooo handsome
I'd love to see Ed host SNL, again! He's so great at it!
"Youre a dumb man!" Lol hahaha
this is unbelievably brilliant
One take Jake!
One take tony, that shouldn't be his naaaaaaaaame 😅😅
damn andy looks fine 👀
The Ed Wood way of making films.
I can see Ed Wood loving this guy.
The way he scuttles away😂
Literally no one expected Kenan to become Louis Armstrong at the end
That little trot backwards out to the hall is fuckin hilarious. XD
Kenaan at the end pure genius 😭
Bill should speak like that for the rest of his life.
