Welcome back to the desert everyone! I hope you're staying cool. It's already well over 100 degrees here.
This is it! This is apparently what you want to see. Lights! The whole past week was thinking about and building light boards and thinking of ways to make the fiber work the way I want it to. I think I've got it figured out. The parts I've completed so far are looking pretty good. The camera doesn't do them justice. The light is either too bright so you cant see the installed lights, or the light is too dark and you cant see the actual part. In person, it looks more and more like the dream I had... It's going to be awesome!
I apologize if it's difficult to hear me speaking this week. The music seems a little loud. I'm sorry. ease let me know if you have any questions.
    Index:
    00:26 - LEDs in general
02:18 - Wiring Maintenance Pits' LEDs
    04:51 - LED Light Board
    18-57 - Multi-board test
20:01 - Nav Console Lighting (If you saw the tiny panel, check this out!)
    25:00 - Main Hold Lighting
    27:08 - It all works!!
I hope you guys enjoyed. Next I will be drilling holes in the bottom of the Falcon for more lights. I'm a little nervous.
I hope you'll join me again next time!

Really nice work. I don’t understand how the light transfers from the actual diode through that clear “wire” though

Hahaha. That's a question for the physicists regarding the light waves not leaving the sides of the fiber and bouncing around until they exit the other end.
But it's freaking cool isn't it!?
      Tha ks for watching!

Is that console an add on piece?

Hi, yes it is. I got it off Shapeways. I'm going to be drilling and using the one that comes with the kit as the Engineering Console aft of the starboard ramp.

That’s cool! A heck of a lot of work. I was trying to figure out how to get the same effect easier. Brain is working too slow! Thanks for sharing. Happy days and model on! 😎🇨🇦

It is a lot of work. I don't know any other way but have individual fibers to individual bulbs, like I did. I've been thinking about it for about a year while waiting for parts... I'm not really looking forward to final assembly. I think it'll take several full days to get the fibers set.
