Two proper dream cars, great comparison. I might be in a minority here, but given a choice, I would prefer the 599 GTO, a little more subtle in my eyes.
Me to... We have a big warehouse storage for rich People’s cars 10min from my adress.. They have a red 599 GTO there to.. I can send it to you? They have around 100 cars of most brands. Its called “My Garage” . Here in Denmark 😎🇩🇰🌎
Cowboy, I'm going to be honest. I didn't like the 599 GTO and thought it did NOT deserve the GTO mantle. However . . . I saw one for real and was blown away. The speed and noise were unbelievable. Owners Story - owner really wanted a LaFerrari ( he couldn't afford one ... ha ha ha) and then he wanted a TDF. Expensive and a long wait. His mechanic told him about a desperate to sell F12 Berlinetta. He tried it and loved it. He was then told about the 599 GTO! He couldn't believe that one, they existed in Australia and two, were even remotely affordable. That great mechanic of his said " every one wants a 812 Superfast, an 812 Spyder, the TFD . . . " so the price has temporarily gone down. HE purchased the all black rhd 599 GTO. He wasn't disappointed
The Ferrari F12 TDF is electronically limited to 211mp / h, without the limiter going over 220mp / h, and GTO is only faster than Enzo in Fiorano because of the tires, Enzo is faster if it has the same tires as GTO, not to mention that Enzo has much higher top speed. But great content, very informative!
This is a video with a real purpose and usefulness. I love Ferraris but am utterly confused by their increasingly myriad models. This sorted out the differences of at least 2 of them. Thanks for this highly informative piece.
I just subscribed so forgive my lack of history with your channel. Please more Porsche. This is great to watch and you do a very in-depth review but let’s face it. Few of us can enjoy these cars in more real life. It’s true that this is just my opinion, but Porsche offers a more obtainable experience for the ROW. Well done and I will keep watching. Take care.
Bang on regarding the single clutch box being more engaging and characterful. I literally would not swap my 360 for a 458 for this sole reason! Equally, I think it gives the Aventador something that say, the Huracan lacks. Much derided but not always warranted!
10:24 i’m not enjoying the racing harnesses. Despite the GTO being an absolute monster, I kind of like the fact that it doesn’t look it. Sure put these belts in if you’re going to track it. But if not just run with the standard seatbelt. Keep it understated.
Thank you Mr Jaconelli that was an epic review, all the informations about those beautiful cars we have got thanks to you especially. That was the clearest and most refine interview i have ever watched. Unfurtonatelly i cannot able buy those cars but i subbed the channel. So thank you for that video and see you soon in another epic review.
F12 is a smaller car than the 599. Possibly the only time that has been the case in modern car history. A welcomed move IMO. Both of those cars are dream level
599 SA Aperta would be the one I would get there’s one for sale locally at the salt lake dealership and if things go right I’m buying it at the end of the year.
GTO. All the way. Very soon we will not be able to get these cars. So i think the GTO will hold money more, In the long run. But in an Ideal world. Both.. Keep up the good work on TH-cam. Amazing Info as always.
599 gto was my favorite car until the laferrari came out and then the 488 gtb and the pista version but still i would go for the 599 gto if i ever had the means to get one
I’m writing this in 2024. I don’t know how much the 599 GTO is changed hands for these days? But I do know that the TDF goes for well over 1 million these days. They are crazy crazy money. A sound investment and a lot of fun if you bought one a few years back
Assuming you mean the GTO Legionnaire Gonk, we have done a video comparing the TDF and the GTO, worth a watch 😊. These cars are in a different bracket to the V8’s
F12 tdf seems to me the choice. But the most sad story is that I am living in Norway. How great it would be to buy a car from this fantastic dealer. Have to stick to Your cars through this channel. But I have to honest as a Porsche guy- Ferraris are so beautiful but sorry to say- seems to be fragile cars??! Thanks for very instructing videos!
L'importante E' avere una larga scelta. Momento Quale tiene meglio Sulla ripresa prepari il cronometro Ci penso io Sulla velocità Vedremo dopo ne parleremo Ma per cortesia Quale tiene meglio In curva😁😁😁😁😁
Perhaps like most Petrolheads if got the big chum of money I would be called COLLECTOR. I say I need both of the cars spanking new but mann it`s just a dream. Sometimes they come true. I wish for all petrolheads that are currently dreaming about those bad boys that one day they will appear in their garage. Cheers !
What are you talking about? That you like to feel the GAP between the gears. This car is not for a real driver, who, when driving, always looks to the next available spot in front and pushes the car there. You call it reckless driving; I called it driving, having the DRIVER GEN. I have 458, which drove 58,000 miles. I have an F12 Berlinetta, drove 11,000 miles, and I WANT to have the 599. I took THREE test drives. I used to race for years with SCCA, NASA, etc. I raced Mazda Miatas, BMWs, and Porsche. I know HOW TO DRIVE. I drove over a million miles in the Former USSR, Europe, and America. I'm 48 years behind the steering wheel. I even was fined 4000 Euro in Germany for so-called reckless driving in 2007. So, I know what I'm talking about. The first test made me nauseous in 20 min because the delay was so well felt when my head was moved forward, and then almost a second later, the higher gear engaged, and my head flew back. The first 3 gears, which are used most in street driving and most accelerated, are the most delayed. To make quick maneuvers accelerate, changing lanes in a stream of cars is very dangerous because of the delay in the gear change. The second probably had a less-used clutch, and the delay was a bit shorter but still not even close to the transmission of the BMW M3 2001, which I enjoyed tremendously. And the brakes of 599 do not have a good stopping power. The third car was similar to the second. I was hugely disappointed. I love the car and cannot understand why they made such a terrible transmission called it Formula 1. Actually, as much as I love my 2 Ferraries for their forms, power, and sound, that much I hate the Ferrari engineers who put turning levers on the steering wheel and horns. I have arthritis, and it's a pain to press those buttons, and I always show my intentions by changing lines. I even bought a Porsche 911 Turbo S although I do not like the way it looks and it's less comfortable, BUT it has a regular lever on the left to turn ON the turning lights and now drive Ferraries very rarely. The horns on the steering is idiocy, in an extreme situation you can not horn, you muscles on the thumbs and not design for multisecond reaction. Paddle shifting is not making the 599 gears faster, and Racing mode is not really a racing mode, all made for a straight lane driving by a person who has a slight idea what is driving about.
The Ferrari F1 is not terrible as you mentioned in your comment. I own a 2010 599 with the F1 and a 2014 Cali 30 with DCT. When Ferrari had the F1 that was the best they had back then, of course over time technology improves and now we have the amazing super smooth DCT. You can't really compare the two, you have to appreciate the differences. The F1 will jerk you around if you don't drive it right. You have to practice driving it to make your shifts smooth around town. This is the easiest way I can explain how to work the F1 smoothly. Imagine your driving a manual transmission with 3 pedals. When you put in your clutch pedal, let off the gas then shift- you have to let off your gas then shift your paddles, it really helps to practice this way with the F1 cars. DCT, any one can drive them, F1 takes more finesse. Now when your really giving your F1 system "the beans" it actually will respond super smooth. The harder you drive the car the system responds better, city driving (slow) is very challenging in the F1 cars. I of course just offer this as my experience, and hopefully someday I can have my F1 599 converted to a manual, because I prefer manuals and I love that Enzo engine so much. 🏁
two cars that Ferrari will tell you were pinnacle flagship models when in fact they weren't even as fast as the Ferrari that was being sold at half the price.
The 599 GTO is not worthy of that batch. Gran Turismo Omologato... the 599 GTO was never intended for homologation. I would still prefer the 599 GTO though, the name is just stupid.
Those cars are shit right hand drive cars the roads suck in the UK not mention how shitty the weather is there 24/7 why anyone would buy one n keep it there makes zero sense. Buy left hand drive and use the greatness of the tunnel use your car in Europe makes much better sense for added value definitely more fun n smiles per pound spent. 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏼 Obviously the best one to buy is the very rare manual 599 who’s value is going thru the roof!!!! For the money 812 super fast over TDF better car value for da money
Dear All ferrari Team... Accept the design of ( ferrari stallone by murray sharp) and produce the most fastest & g force hypercar ever made .. Ferrari Fans
599 GTO for me. I've always loved how elegant the 599s look, something I think is missing from modern Ferrari's.
Spot. On.
100% agree, Its gotta very raw v12 sound. Even better sounding than the Enzo even though its the same engine in my opinion.
Looks like a futuristic modern version of the 612 Scaglietti that it replaced. But far superior car all around.
Two proper dream cars, great comparison. I might be in a minority here, but given a choice, I would prefer the 599 GTO, a little more subtle in my eyes.
I love the tdf but yeah, GTO all the way for me. Even though I’d prefer the ‘normal’ F12 over the standard 599
tdf all day long
Me to... We have a big warehouse storage for rich People’s cars 10min from my adress..
They have a red 599 GTO there to.. I can send it to you? They have around 100 cars of most brands.
Its called “My Garage” . Here in Denmark 😎🇩🇰🌎
I always loved the TDF. I actually really like the super fast too. But that GTO with those options and wheels. That car is a gem
These reviews are pretty epic. Market here in California: GTO ~$600-700k and TDF $1-1.1M.
The 599 GTO gets my pick; I've always found the TDF to be rather ridiculous looking. It strikes me as having a factory Veilside body kit.
Buy the GTO and with the money you save vs the tdf then buy an 812 to drive daily!
599 GTO for me!

F12tdf for me. As always, another impressive video
2 of the greatest cars back again ....... thank you romans

599 G T O ldschool......the engine note alone makes it worth it. Great video !

Love both but if I had to pick 1 only it would be the TDF. It stands out in a crowd.
The 599 should also be considered one of the Halo group of Ferraris, it slots in nicely between the F50 and Enzo and is also a GTO
I appreciate your reviews among my favorites informative, factual, entertaining solid objective absent of senseless hyperbole!
If you can deal with the comically over-acting hands lol
Very good thank you. I'm fast becoming a fan of your videos. Cheers.

can't beat the GTO
GTO is the best looking Ferrari ever been made . Aggressive yet simple .

Are the backseats optional on both cars??
Great thorough video 👍 specs ,performance , value
Wouldn't be able to pick one - that GTO badge carries a ton of history though. Absolutely stunning machines. Forza Ferrari
599 gto was my favorite car until the laferrari came out and then the 488 gtb and the pista version but still i would go for the 599 gto if i ever had the means to get one
I love them both , great to see Banstead on you tube 😊 my house is down holly lane ....
Really enjoyed seeing those two side by side! Both stunning
I would take the GTO. And i would put the RX7's lateral g force contolled rear wheel steering in it.
Both. Definitely would want to buy both. It's impossible to choose between these two great Ferrari V12 masterpieces.
Great content as always. 👍🏻
Both are beautiful! So, how do you get on the VIP list?

Great job Tom.
Jeff in SF, USA
Nice video!!
If you could choose any three Ferrari. Which one would you choose. Me personally l would like 812 Super Fast, Portofino, and La Ferrari.
None of these 3 , money no object id go for a 288 gto , f50 and daytona .
F50, 430 Scuderia and F12 Berlinetta.
GTO please, understated and raw
599 GTO
Two v12 stunners. Thanks
Your voice nearly better than the Ferrari V12
599 for me. Old school...? Hell Yeah!
Great video.
599 GTO for sure
As a peasant, I'd love to have the standard version of either of these cars.
599 all the way. It has a rawness that the TDF just can't match due to the extra tech it has. Proper road going racing car...
Assuming you mean the GTO Legionnaire Gonk, we have done a video comparing the TDF and the GTO, worth a watch 😊. These cars are in a different bracket to the V8’s
If money is no object, definitely a 599 GTO for me. Beautifully designed by Pininfarina that still looks like it's designed in 2020s.
I Would go for a F12 no the tdf.... In the 599 line up I would get the SA Aperta
Allahumma solli 'ala Sayyidina Muhammad i want that 599 GTO :D
Some cycling race? 😁 it's the biggest race in the calendar dude 😂 I love the 599GTO, moreso than the F12TDF, but can't afford either....
Have always liked the 599 but for me it has to be f12 tdf

absolute beauty that gto
Gto outside but tdf interior, engine and transmission
Never liked the looks of the 599 the front is too rounded and dips down a lot. Absolutely love the f12 tdf especially in yellow such a nice car.
it's front-mid engined, not front engined... An Audi S5 is front engined.
GTO is gorgeous!
599 no doubt
Great title!
Investment = GTO
Driving = TDF
Gorgeous cars
I went ahead and bought both... in Forza.
I think 599 GTO look better.
Buy both
gto anytime
Perhaps like most Petrolheads if got the big chum of money I would be called COLLECTOR. I say I need both of the cars spanking new but mann it`s just a dream. Sometimes they come true.
