What i like about your channel is that you actually show the struggle with the fitment. Most car channels just snap everything on, and everyone who does DIY knows how much of a pain in the ass some very small fitment issues can be. Thank you for being genuine.
Thank you for this comment. I try not hiding the pains I go through with a DIY project because I know that 99% of all DIYers will go through the same, so why hide it? I've tried being different from other creators in that sense because you can almost be certain they struggled as much as, for example, you may be struggling following along. Thanks for watching!
It'll still work! It did for me, at least. I was fine with losing that feature going into this, but I believe since I got the OEM diffuser insert, the sensor still... senses! It still works for me.
Was this an M sport model or a base model? I have a base model and want a quad diffuser , looked on eBay and said it won’t fit a base model f10 only m sport
This is, in fact, an M-Sport. The M5 and M-Sport share most body panels, of which the rear bumper is included. Unfortunately, the base model can not fit this diffuser, as it's a different bumper. You could either change the entire bumper or look for some base model options. I've seen a fair share of very good-looking options for the Sub-M-Sport bumpers!
Yeah, I had to take my bumper off as you may have seen, and even then, it refused to fit. I just barely got it on by sheer luck. It's been holding up pretty well!
I completely agree - this is something I could've spent more money on. However, the cutting is necessary regardless of what diffuser you get, as the shape of it wouldn't fit with the actual M-Sport bumper underpinnings, so, buying a cheap or expensive diffuser would still require the modifications. But, it would install a lot easier, that's for sure.
I am too, nobody has ever really put a set of 666M on an F10. There are a handful, but not in my color, or with high quality photos or videos. I may experiment with them sometime down the line...
You're right! I shouldn't have modified my car how I wanted to. I should've waited for your approval beforehand. If you don't like this video, you'll love my next few! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for taking the time to project your negativity for everyone to see. The thing is, this is my car, and I choose what to do with it! If I like it, I do it. Almost the same way you do what you want to your car! This is, however, unfortunate, that my modification to my car on my channel bothered you so much that you had to comment. So, for that, I apologize. But next time, consider thinking about how silly you sound hating on a teenager's car before typing your rage away on your keyboard. Besides all that, have a great day, and thanks for watching!
@@MotoRevs I don't think he was really hating. Isn't he free to voice his opinion? Or do you only want to hear opinions if they align with yours? I agree with him. Making a 535i appear as M5 is similar to up-badging.
@@MotoRevs you’re uploading this shit to a public place, if your can’t accept other people’s opinions keep your cute little vids to yourself. Making your basic 535 look like an M5 is lame as shit no matter how much you try to talk yourself into it by saying “it’s my car bro I do what I want”. Yeah, cool, do what you want, still lame as f$$ck though lol 😂
I absolutely encourage all comments, those who agree and disagree with me. What I don't like, however, is how he calls it lame. Up-badging is another world - one I hope never to fall into the pits of. My car doesn't say M5 anywhere, and I proudly keep my 535i badge so as to not try to confuse anyone. I am proud of my N55, and I don't pretend to have anything more or less. Like I said, I encourage his comment, but not the way he said it.
Like every honda fan boy puts a type R badge on a non type R car. Or every subaru wrx fanboy puts a STI intercooler or STi frameplate. At least on the N55 platform the motor is in a M base car. in the end its his car. He wants to put quads why not? At least hes not doing it on a N20 528i 💀💀💀

Thanks for watching!
Were you able to retain the comfort access to the trunk and if so how did you do it ?
Yes, I was! Im not sure how, actually. It just works!
I want to do this setup but will my trunk kick sensor opener will still work or will I lose that option if I go with this diffuser.

Lol I try 3 ebay diffusers none of them fit. I even took the damn bumper off🤦🏾♂️

Is it just me or does he sound like Jesse Eisenberg? Lol
Well, I've gotten that one before. A lot of times.
I think paying extra $ for an actual good diffuser is a better option. Cutting into your car and relocating auxiliaries can be too problematic.

Say 666m one more time....
I would be curious, however, how those 666Ms would look on an F10 535I. I have a 16 535i on the way gonna do this swap for quad tips on it.

If it's not an M5, don't touch it.

Why does literally every single non-M 5 series do this quad pipe conversion to look like an M5? So lame
