My son just told me about the kid in his science class and how he misbehaved and distracted other kids. I asked him, “Oh he must have been called out for his bad behavior. You must be having a hard time putting up with him, right?” I was so happy to use these expressions at the right time during the conversation with my son. Thank you!!❤
Thank you very much. I am big fan of you for over 10 years, your teaching material helps me a lot both in work and life. You are best English youtuber ever
Неправда. Университет даёт филологическое образование. Удивительно, что кто то думает, что цель университета- научить разговорному языку. Лиза прекрасный учитель, и даже преподаватели могут многое узнать из её уроков. Но приравнивать видео на ют с получением образования нелепо
It is a very great lesson. We know how important your lessons are for us (none native speakers). Your work doesn't need any details or explanation and i am sure that it speaks for itself. Thank you teacher. 0:21
A 100%. What I would recommend is imaginative approach to such lessons. Try to think all the way, do not rush, engage your imagination fully to the limits. It's a demanding nevertheless rewarding method. Thank you teacher ❤
Thank you, Lisa! I'm curious how many people here watch these videos many times like I do, and how people practice English. Do you have an English partner or a community?
helow, Im looking for english speaking partner here, Im not fluent in speaking englisg and I"m looking for someone that same on me wanting to have a partner to talk in english.
Thank you Ma'am I got a perfect score.I was familiar already with other phrasal verbs but I still listened to your explanation and found out other meanings of the phrasal verbs. Thank you again.
Hello teacher Lisa! I have been watching this video for at least 30 times for 2weeks for deep learning , but I still miss some questions . I know how dumb I am. Dear Lisa! Please make more videos like how to choose life insurance, health insurance, car insurance , home insurance, buy a car and phone line plan things like that we deal in life. Thank you teacher Lisa I love your channel .
Great video as always. In my workplace, when someone calls work to say that they can't work today; to let the manager know that he is going to be absent today, they say, "call out". For example, "Chris called out today. Can you stay later?". Or, "Hey, I haven't see John today, did he called out?". So "to call out" also means to be absent from work? Or is it just a regional thing here in the Northeast / Mid-Atlantic states (NJ)?
I noticed something interesting with the phrasal verb "come down with", ie : 1) come down with "a cold"; 2) come down with "the flu"; and 3) come down with "covid". Why is there an "a" or "the" before the noun or totally without anything before it sometimes? Is it wrong to say "come down with cold" or "come down with flu"?
This is a great English learning channel with unique way Thanks a million for you and your channel ❤❤❤❤❤❤. You are boon for advanced english Practicener ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great lesson, thanks Lisa! I would always use 'to find back-up, or could you be my back up', but I just have learnt a better option - could you fill in for me. 😊
Thank so much. Now there are so many good video on internet and lot of material we can get or bay them. But even We learn everything we get, we can still only get a passive language. I mean that we can read and we have higter lysstieningcomprehengsion, but we can not talk , we can not write so good. So I hope you make plattform and guide us and we have lof of chance to talk, open our mouth. There are so many courses, many teacher use AI and digital tool to product lot of material, it`s good. But it is not enough. What we need is to talk with each other. We need become a active speaker in English. If you just connect us from diffrent part of over the world.
Thank you, Lisa!!! I needed to watch this video. I have one question. What's the difference between "to pull up" and "to pull in?" Are they interchangeable?
Dear Lisa could you start a New series with Saturday Night live or other comedy shows. Its so hard to understand them, and with your genius explanation it would be so much fun. Thx
Thanks Lisa.I always listen and note down every lessons that you have taught.I love ,respect and appreciate as my childhood days teachers. But I'm 71years old.How funny and wonderful!
I'm not quite sure but as far as I'm concerned there is an idiom that goes to fill up someone's shoes? correct me if I'm wrong but you use it when someone is filling in for someone but that person was utterly superb at what they used to do that the new person must be as good as them. Am I wrong?
Really great !! Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo chère Lisa, vous êtes ma professeur préférée pour apprendre l'anglais avec des explications claires et intelligentes. Vous avez une grande pédagogie et j'aimerais pouvoir vivre aux Etats-Unis pour compter parmi vos élèves... continuez à faire des vidéos s'il vous plaît, elles sont vraiment utiles !
Fill In a form is still the preferred over fill out, which sounds like an Americanism. I didn't know you differentiated between filling in a blank and fill out a complete form
You are the best teacher here on TH-cam. I love and appreciate your lessons and the way you explain each word and phrases to us.👍👍 I would like to download the PDF worksheet of this lesson as well. How can I do it Ms Lisa . Thank you in advance ❤🙏

Very useful tips! Thank you Teacher for teaching phrasal verbs. I have a question. Can we say put up a bill board and also set up a bill board?
WOW WHAT EASY WAY TO EXPLAIN THINGS ON AN EASY WAY MEANS FASTER....VERY SMART AND NICE WAY TO EXPLAIN..///
I noticed something interesting with the phrasal verb "come down with", ie :
1) come down with "a cold";
2) come down with "the flu"; and
3) come down with "covid".
Why is there an "a" or "the" before the noun or totally without anything before it sometimes? Is it wrong to say "come down with cold" or "come down with flu"?
Yes, if it's a name like "COVID", we don't use any article. The "flu" always needs "the". Articles rules are very irregular. : (
Your explanation method is very good
Outstanding.
“Pull off”, Could we add this too?? And what does it means? Like example: “What is your highest paying side hustle, and how do you pull it off?”
Very interesting phrases to use
Teacher Lisa, could you put me up in the English department to learn English.🎉🎉🎉🎉
Now I learned that the difference between "fill in" and "fill out".
Actually, my previous tutors told me they are the same meaning.

Hi Lisa.
At work I had heard coworkers always say: Call out ,when they can’t work. Would you give me more information?
Thank you ❤❤❤❤.
When someone can’t work they use the expression “to call in” or “to call in sick”, and not “to call out.”
