Suggest dealing with the internal corner of the parapet first. Both scissor cuts are at the same place. Fix a separate piece of Flashband to the upstand first then lap the main run onto it.

I wanted to ask ,after watching this very handy tip,do you not have to use the primer every time you fix this flashband ,i have a small repair to do and the first video i watched he smothered the whole thing in primer first,i just want to get it right first time ,many thanks for this film

My brother has a very badly designed shower room; leaking into kitchen. Silicone no good. water splashing all over pvc cill. On a budget we fixed it with flashband. melting it on with a heat gun and pressing with a damp cloth was an absolute requirement. Aint going anywhere for a long time.

Hello sir i was wondering. I use the flashband in my roof but there’s a process that i need to use silicone sealant and then i put the flashband but i notice on the box that there’s an instruction like this ‘Flashband is bituminous and must not come into contact with silicone sealant’. I was wondering what will happen?

This repair has definitely lifted off by now, no primer and no heat gun when applying the flashband.

Just used flashband to hopefully stop the shed roof leaking. Planning to pull the thing down next year. Definitely just a temporary quality fix.

Roofer gave me quote of 500 plus to replace flashband/seal money is tight at moment. We have tiny drip leak on kitchen ceiling flat roof, basically near area where flashband joins slope roof. He said flashband/needs replacing. Could I do this myself? and would I need to remove old flashband first?
He said not to overlay worry at the moment regarding roof, but eventually felt will need replacing. Our kitchen and garage are felt roof, quoted 4 n a half grand to redo it all.

Not primed. Absolutely useless waste of time and money.

This is a TEMPORARY product. Only use it as a stop-gap for a maximum of a few weeks, until a roofer is ready to properly fix/replace your roof using proper materials.
It’s not designed for longterm 1yr+ usage. There’s a reason roofers use solid materials that last 10+ years for a reason. I'm not a roofer, but have had roofs done.

You should get a year or two out of it and it's only £20 a roll, compare that to paying a roofer thousands. I know which I'd try first!

This works well if applied on a clean dry surface and use a heat gun to help the adhesion to the surface your putting it on.
