Brilliant video. Reminds me of a late neighbour of mine I knew when I was 15years old,who would wear a flat cap, 2piece work clothes,a waist coat, and boots, and helped him clean bricks for the front wall he was rebuilding. Sad what happened to Fred's machinery and engine's.
Thank you for the video. I think I've seen all of Fred's videos then a gem like this pops up. It's always a joy to watch Fred at work with his mates. A true British pioneer. What made me laugh today when walking home was seeing 2 workmen on a BT mast with the ladder strapped to the post and the guys wearing climbing gear. This mast was only 25 or 30 feet up. Fred would have been up there fast.
I think Fred kept building hoping in the back of his mind ,maybe the buggers will preserve the bloody place after he gone...shame the man was a national treasure

Thank you for giving us these videos. I am a fan of Fred since the first documentary.
He had to leave us much too soon RIP.
Great to watch unedited, thanks for posting Dave.
When Fred died the dream died with him fantastic we still have so many videos and pictures......
Councils find money to build mosques. They should have bought his house and steam engines and kept them there.
If work hard like our Fred in future you might get job maintaining roofs of those mosques : )
Councils are corrupt.

Such pride in their work. It's beautiful to watch
its lovely seeing them having their lunch in the warm boiler room with wood fired boiler behind them
Should have kept all his set up the way he left it, it would have been a treasure for the future & now of course, RIP Fred,
If Fred's work shop had been returned to steam it would have been a great attraction in Bolton

Smashing clips, Dave. Some interesting dialogue too. Thank you for uploading this and the others. Appreciate i!

@@laddersman it won't be going up and down again. does anyone know when Fred's living van was removed from the Garden
1:42 I wonder if Fred was eating one of those famous meat pies...
Such a shame most of what Fred built has been removed by the new owner.
i understand Fred's ladders went for 15 pounds or so.
i hope Fred's tools are being used to repair steam engines
Thanks Dave lovely to see that.
Old Natham is quoted as being "A fucking idiot he is" This is pure Fred gold telling things as are.
He kept building even when he knew he was dieing
I think this explains why his 3rd wife and son were left nowt
That's the most dangerous table saw I've ever seen!! Lol,,love this guy

Top fella and all his team along the way
If he knew that he was going to lose every thing when he died maybe he wouldn't have work until the end.R.I.P.Fred.
Of course he knew he would lose it all, it was Freds ethos to work till the end.
@@robthesamplist i guess Fred wanted it that way
So sad this whole entire shop is emptied of his treasures today. Why it wouldn't have been fully preserved is beyond me 😡
Was intrigued by shape of teeth on winding gears . Will have to look that up.
Yes his garden is being dismantled not much left RIP fred
Why is it all being dismantled , I can’t believe it
Tis is Nice ,do you have more ????👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
