A digital Filofax for 8 year olds based on a film that came out decades before they were born...To quote the Angry Video Game Nerd: “What were they thinking???”
This might sound silly but id actually love for a remaster of the Atari game. I think it could be quite mesmerizing if they took the original story of the movie, remastered the gameplay/environment, and made something that was heartfelt but also a solid experience. Kinda similar to what Ghostbusters and Back to the future did. I can just imagine an easter egg with a console hooked up to the TV in the living room which could let you play the original game 😂
The original game was barely cooked, so it would be fascinating to see what the final product could look like from the original concept…. On a PS5 or Xbox, dripping in 80s ambience! Not sure about using ETs head as a grappling hook, but they can work round that using his telekinesis powers.
@@jaethemanchild Oh for sure it'd have to be highest res possible and take longer than a couple freaking weeks to make. They couldn't spare to make another flop. I'd love for them to go all out for once and give our little diabetes burn patient some love.
@@cosmicXtropics haha! Poor old E.T. He’s a squat looking turd, but we love him! Would love a 40th anniversary game that rights a lot of wrongs, for sure.
I wasn't aware of any of those, apart from the pinball one at the end. I dont remember it being the best pinball game. Sure it was flashy, but playability wasn't as good as some others
@@jaethemanchild Its very similar to the Atari 2600 version. Only differences is ability to play with certain characters as in Eliot, FBI and Scientist) and has speech. It can be completed but the speccy version is much more annoying as you have to keep moving to a clear area to avoid accidently setting off the ability.
I have a vague memory of seeing a tv commercial for the PS2 game. It’s a shame that we’ll never see more of it.
I’ve have to agree. Also a bit of shame that we’re now at the 40th anniversary and no new ET titles…:-(
I remember seeing it too, but I can't find it anywhere on TH-cam. Call me crazy, but I think it was on TH-cam at least once before.
Poor fella he’s just destined never to have a good game. Love the humour in your videos mate :) that data mining game though 😂😂😂 awesome

Have you ever seen an other E.T. game around this Era. I Came out for PC from a Universal Studios promo Cd.
Oh really?! There’s so many!

@@jaethemanchild Indeed. Hey while you're here, thanks for this vid btw very informative retrospective (I never knew about any of these).
The only “E.T.” game I ever owned is just “Lego Dimensions”.
The most I’ll ever be amazed about a game is how Lego Dimensions wasn’t a success. You could run around the Simpsons House as Dr Who!
It feels like E.T. is a bad luck charm for video games.
I think there’s scope to make a really good ET adventure game. Probably not an Assassins Creed type, given his little legs
Nice hashing mate👍
Thanks, I'll try more hashing in the future!

I wasn’t aware of ANY of those a couple of months ago, and then I just kept finding more and more!
@@jaethemanchild E.T. games always appear in single file, to hide their numbers
Did you know the 2600 game was 'ported' to the speccy as well as ETX? its just as shite as you'd think it'd be!!
Great vid btw
I thought it was, but I couldn’t for the life of me remember what it was called. E.T. X sounds a bit saucy. Thank you Baz, you’re a gent, as ever!
@@jaethemanchild you won't thank me once you've played it 😀
If it’s anything like the original... you’re probably right!

@@mrunixman1579 I kind of want to play it, a bit
Assassin's ET? :-) not a fan of ET, its not a good movie :-( i hate slider games, lol :-) i hope its the last games :-)
It’s a difficult movie to make games of really. I must admit, I’d get hyped if ET showed up in the background of the Mandolorian!
E.T. does not belong in video games!
He keeps trying though!
