It's actually insane that there was a time respawn removed tap strafe considering in the latest trailers they showed off tap strafe AND wall bounces.
Now all we need is a better implementation of most of the movements techs which for now are FPS bound and have weird internal cooldowns. It need to be implemented in a way where PC and console players can both do these tricks. Even if I always was a PC with kb/m player I wish my console bros to have the same fun with the game ;)
@@attractivegd9531 FPS bound and have weird internal cooldowns - nothing is fps bound and internal slide cooldowns are built into the game on purpose and everyone have them, they should just remove aim assist and give everythink mnk have like move&loot and opening doors shouldnt be the same as reviving and etc, everything else is do-able on controller and if we go all the way, controller already has better movement than mnk even now with the right configuration
Had a lengthy answer that was deleted no idea why, anyway there are a lot of movements that have variable window time depending on frame rate, there is literally a websites made by the Apex community to train hyperglide depending on your fps, good luck bro.@@ValentineNTT

The annoying thing about the kraber change is pros actively said they only wanted the nerf to effect comp/scrim lobbies and not the main game but respawn nerfed it across the board.
Respawn: removes punch boosting to shorten rotations and third parties
Also Respawn: ZIPRAILS AND EVAC TOWERS!!!!!.
Because you can see and hear those and get ready for a fight.

I'd take arenas over gun run and control. I found it to be a good balance of competitive and casual, it was fun making a clutch comeback and just t bagging. I was halfway to my getting my 5k win badge when I heard it was being removed and that had me sour
Ong arena was my favorite game mode. It was fun to play when i was tired of playing battle royale. I got better at play battle royale by playing arena because it simulated 1v3 situations
arenas was really shit, control and gun run are really fun

yes they listen when they are LOSING money, not actually when they lose part of the comunity, also, so many little annoying things are way worse than one big annoying thing... like they could fix audio, matchmaking, servers, rather than go full ape into a gold item lol, and in top of that AA being the only input that actually matters makes this game bad asf... Yes keep "fixing" things that like 20 actually people care or cry about like the kraber but let tons of other things that all the actual comunity were asking for many seasons ago...

Nah, what's crazy is how everyone considers living shell an actual gamemode. I'm just confused about the difference between regular trios and the "LTM" besides a grenade item. Oh right, there is none. Gamemode my ass. Hardcore was a gamemode and a fun one at that. Living shell isn't a gamemode and the community is happily eating the shit that Respawn puts on their plate. But I guess that's consoomerism as a whole. sigh
Feel like I got off topic or didn't make the point I was trying to make. Basically, gamemodes should change something about the regular game. Again, hardcore is a great example. Adding a boring ass item and calling it a new limited time gamemode is a scam.
Punch boosting was by far my favorite
i wish they added arenas back in. i liked it cuz it was a nice change and it helped me out in apex.
doont bring it back, just put in the mixtape rotation, I like some of the mixtape games bc I can get a 20 kill 4k damage in 1 game, which I could never do it BR

I think lifeline should get her shield during revive again. Maybe add hp to this shield and enemy can destory it to be more fair? Imo current version is bad compared to newcastle passive. Usually dont help at all.

As for arenas I only played arenas... I left for 3 season and I absolutely hate the new mixtape why couldn't we have kept arenas and added mixtape to the side?
I was around sense season 0 so I experienced every single change in apex legends history every single one even the wingman nerfs sense season 1 to 3 and onwards

To be fair the iron crown event did have a currency that allowed you to get the skins you wanted, florentines i think they where called, they where Challenge based so it was pretty hard to get Enough for all the skins, but it was there atleast. For me the only change that stay that really annoyed me was when they sorta hinted at future battlepass skins would return in the store, i think up to season 13 they are exclusive and cant bè touched and for that i really greatfull ad it a cool feeling having a season 0 skin that few others have , makes your time playing the game feel more worth it
You weren’t able to craft the legendary event skins, it was just a few purples and blue skins

No tap strafing was a good change
The removal of arenas wouldn’t have hit me so hard if another game mode like control had ranked. I feel ranked just provides more value to a game mode tbh and makes it more fun

worst thing for me honestly was the removal of Arenas, loved that mode. always fun to play when a shit map was on and all we have now is this shitty mixtape mode which tbh has to be the worst gamemode ever. takes all the hype out of control and all the other modes are not fun + getting in a match with preds is not that fun to play against

The digital threat optic spawn rate has be quietly buffed I think and the 4-10x sniper scope spawns on the floor this may be a bug or I'm super lucky

I've found one 4-10x scope on the ground while playing olympus. I feel like i can find digi threats or 3x rangers(my favorite sights) in every match pretty quickly now

Respawn took away a lot of my legendary skins and finishers from caustic. I owned every finisher for him and now I only own the prestige skin finisher…
They should've also given lifeline the shield buff just like newcastle where u have a certain sheild
The Kraber shouldn't been nerfed at all. One thing i will agree is if they get rid of one bullet in a magazine or decrease the ammo account for ut. I mean, for Pete's sake, IT'S A BIG SNIPER RIFLE!

Regarding the gold knockdown I was kind of bummed out about it at the time as well but thinking back...I'm pretty glad they got rid of it. Not only are the sounds that play after you kill all 3 members of a squad /so/ satisfying but it also got rid of the awkward gameplay of having to chase down every knocked member of a team and risk getting third partied before you could chew through the gold knockdown / awkwardly dance around the shield to kill the person.
I quit apex in season 4. In season 5 lifeline's shield got added and got removed in season 9 I rejoined Apex in season 10. I don't know if I'm lucky or unlucky

istg the almost removal of tap strafe would've actually sank apex like wz2 did to warzone. it felt like a noob cod dev snuck its way inside the apex team and almost got his way lol
Honestly I wished self revive was still here but very rare, like only one per match somewhere in the game or in one of the last care packs, also I miss arenas I wish it would at least be in the mixtape mode
I miss the rez shield, it made games more interesting and gave at least one person to clutch up to win a fight
Does anyone know if it is normal to have pc players in the lobby in control and TDM when playing on console? The only mode in the playlist I get console vs console is gun run. I know in BR you have to join a pc party to get put into pc lobbies when you play on console but lately every time I play control and TDM on console I am being put in almost completely pc lobbies.

the "pro" scene of APEX should have their own game setting their own game version
Pros ruin games for almost every game they play. Whether they complain about something to get nerfed/buffed, creating some random meta that had 1 character/ability you liked that immediately got nerfed, you name it pros ruin it. HOWEVER, without them so many things could go wrong, popularity for a game, funding (you know they spend millions), and if they didn't complain about something nothing would potentially happen to balancing

Arenas makes me sad it's gone. I didn't get into many hacker or boosting lobbies maybe because I'm mid but hey, I had fun in it compared to control. Dying to preds in pubs is more fun than control.
I do think the Kraber and self-revive changes were needed to help the flow of the game - Kraber still rewards headshots pretty nicely etc. But the fact that they do stem from pros complaining as opposed to the community as a whole is a little scummy.
I used it, but i will admit the punch slide felt like a lame way to play and i dont miss it.
when did everyone hate arenas? me and all my buddies loved it and it was a great break from the regular game and the competitive arenas was also fun to do too. im still disappointed they vaulted it, it was so much fun

Me personally I loved arenas but hate mixtape as every time I play it I fight Apex preds level 700+ with 4k badges even though I never made it out of silver also I don’t have money for a 500 dollar gaming computer so being able to play something similar to csgo and other games was amazing until arenas was gone

I still think the gold knockdown shield self revive should've at least stayed in the firing range at least until they changed it and made it so you don't lose everything when you die

what about the time they made solos a LTM instead of adding it to the game permanently? Getting my game griefed by 3 stacks and getting put in a team with duos who act like you don't exist is getting old. Every other BR has solos, so what if people are not gonna wanna play lifeline. It sucks enough as it is not having any friends I don't need apex to punish me for it too. JUST LET ME PLAY SOLOS!
