Great haul! Alot of the off brand canned goods are specifically made for the food banks across the country. Some actually taste better than the name brands
I would have to agree! I will say the only thing I have found so far is the Dutchess brand peas and mixed veggies stay hard after cooking even for several hours. I will be trying a pressure cooker next can I use but its the only off brand I havent liked
If you don't mind the taste of cream of mushroom but don't like the mushroom bits you can throw it in the blender to get rid of them. Alternatively, you can push it through a strainer but it's a pain in the 🫏
I sadly cant stand the taste. Anything with mushrooms in it tastes like someone added potting soil to the dish. Its one of those foods I hate that I dont like since there are some amazing dishes that can be made with mushrooms.
That is a great solution. I have thought about putting the cans that are so hard in my instant pot and seeing if that works but if not cutting them up or blending them might be the only way to get them soft.
You can run that loaf of hard bread under the faucet, pop it in the oven and it will freshen it up! It’s like magic
