Great video Scott. I live about 2 minutes from this area, and go there often. The spot where the signals are used to have a control tower that guarded the diamond. The Newburgh & Southshore Railroad also had a line there as well, that was removed years ago. The CSX line had a semaphore signal for the yard approach that was removed about 20 years ago, the signal pole is still there. This area has a lot of history, and i find alot of old stuff laying around. I have found many nice old paving bricks and old bottles walking around that area. The remains of the old tower are buried in those dirt burms to the right of the tracks, behind the signals.
That lead shot just looking past the units at the Mill just speaks for itself even with the gloomy colors. Great selection of WE Power and Equipment. Love the diamond close to the street and how the one-line rolls into town. Then the great meet at the Depot. WOW. Tip Top from start to finish
That was great to watch, thank you.
A fantastic video about an interesting branch line, the W&LE and two CSX freight trains. Thank you for showing and best regards
