- Norfolk Southern train C46 pulls by my camera on Whiskey Island in Cleveland Ohio. This was once home to the Hullets but now the ore is only bulk transferred from bigger boats to river class boats. The railroad only uses these tracks for storage and spinning the local. My camera started shaking like crazy because the mainline was behind me and a heavy train was rolling by, the mainline is on a bridge over the track C46 was on.
Over in Collinwood we see various runs of the L316 that I shot but never put into a compilation. Here we see CSX 2652, 2576, 2656 and 6147 leading different trains. Also at Collinwood we see CSX 3068 pulling MofW cars along with 3 geeps.
In Euclid at Lloyd Rd we caught CSX 2053 with 2 geeps pulls a mixed freight. They had a delay getting into Collinwood so after an hour we got them pulling by the Lincoln Electric plant.

Nice meet Also those freshly painted older units looked great..Awesome video
Thank you very much!
Fun times were had by all!
Hello Scott great video to wake up to this Sunday morning. Thank you love the EMD standard cabs and only one safety cab in the classic EMD. Love it seeing your two boys too.🚂🚂🤞 does it get any better than this? Gotta look up QD TOWER!
Thank you! Light angles can be tricky at the tower but decent action here.
Cool, that was a great video share Scott! Bet it was a Great day? (Dave).
Thank you. They were shot over several days.
Wow Love the EMD Locomotives thanks , Scott I wanted to ask you to do a Video of the Roger Blough in Conneaut Harbor if you could and I know your brother James !
Thank you, I am familiar with a few Oleary’s. I have droned the Blough as it sits in Conneaut. I haven’t posted any of the shots. I flew pretty close to the wheel house windows. She’s stripped bare from what I can see. I caught her sailing twice and those videos are on my channel.
love it as always TY PAUL EEEE
Thank you
Excellent video Scott!!!
Thank you very much!
@@ScottTaipaleRail You're welcome!!!
Nice video!
Thanks!
Nice video Scott, thank you. I particularly appreciated the Drone-view of the MOW Train passing the Fuel Pad. I wonder if you know what the Overhead Pipes are supplying (Fuel, Sand) and also, what the 'T'-shape stanchions are for, please. I'm in the UK and I cannot seem to find any info. about these.
The T stanchions support a cable that runs along the centerline of each track. When Mechanical department personnel have to get on top of locomotives, they wear fall protection harnesses and hook up to that cable. I’m not familiar with this specific facility, but overhead piping in locomotive servicing areas typically carry diesel fuel, crankcase oil, water, sand and compressed air. It varies from one shop to another. Water and oil lines are usually insulated, heated with electric heat tape, and covered with aluminum jacketing. The water for obvious reasons, the oil because it flows agonizingly slow in the winter if not heated! At this facility, I’m not seeing evidence of any sand on the ground, or sand storage silo, so they might not have the capability to sand locos.
@@tomt9543 Hi, very many thanks for your reply. The Fall Arrestor Wire along the 'T'-Stanchions info. is particularly helpful. Most of the Fuel Pads I have looked at on 'Maps' have Overhead Piping, which IMO makes more sense than Underground Pipes.
When I was at work, I have designed plenty of Pipework, Gantries and Bridges as well as Compressed-Air Pipe Conveying systems with Hoppers, Blowers and Dust-Extraction (which is probably why it interests me so much) I will probably model (kit-bash) this Gear from Walthers kits - unless they would like to oblige. Thank you for your help, regards.
Keep the younger generation interested.
You bet. When we were at the Fostoria show a few weeks back I scolded a guy from a club in Michigan. He asked that my 8 year old not touch the models on his table. I told him Lincoln has been handling my models for years and it’s people like him running the young ones out of the hobby.
Sorry to see BE tower all boarded up
I’m surprised they haven’t knocked it down.
Lubrizol, not Lincoln Electric at LLoyd Rd., Lincoln East of E222nd.
(Lubrizol at LLoyd Rd, then Lincoln near E222.
Make room for Jetta.
I don’t understand?
