I'm sorry I have never used this tool but to me it seems that when you go from 3/4 bar to 1/2 bar you don't have to make all of those adjustments you just need to make a spacer that would go on top of the tool rest to make up the difference in bar size it would keep it lined up and take seconds to change Let me know if I'm wrong good luck
Hi there. I was thinking of buying a stabiliser and laser system for making hollow firms from green wood. I have had quite a lot of difficulty with cracking. I am told that one of the reasons for the formation of crack is inconsistent wall thickness. Obviously the Bosch hollowing tool with laser/visualiser is designed for even wall thickness. Logically there are much fewer problems with cracking when working on green wood. Have you any thoughts on this please?
You mention another stabilizer you also own and some of its benefits. Which one is that? You also mention Mike has put together a parts list for a DIY visualizer. Approx what is the cost of those parts?

For the swing take off the handle then put it back when space allows. I have tried that, seems to work and I don't think I screwed it up.
