exactly what I needed to see and hear. thank you for posting such a well done video for my favorite car of all time. I owned a 93 vr4 for about 5 years. transmission blew and I couldnt find one that didnt require overseas shipping. and it wasnt a new transmission either :( sooooo I sold her... few years later a few dudes opened up a shop that rebuilds transmissions. where the person who bought my car got it fixed. I would like to believe some ones enjoying that car right now. but its probably in a junk yard like most of these rare cars..
Dude. We need more 3000gt. Specifically, tuning possibilities. Specifically 3.5L swaps and strokers. Why the GT wasn't the real Gojira of the Streets is criminal.
I think the price tag ultimately was the biggest issue. At the time, in the late 90s, even though they were MSRP'ing for 40,000, some dealers were tacking on a $10,000 (or more) markup. From a performance standpoint, they were only 500# heavier than the skyline which wasn't even available in the states. Just seems odd with the unavailability of the GTR and the desirability of AWD that it didn't take off. @@idontgotagun9867
Pegging your car off the limiter isn’t a showcase of the engine exhaust note. When someone sees a badass car their thinking man I’d love to hear that thing make a full 3rd gear pull through a long ass tunnel. Their not thinking man I sure wish they would get it press the gas to the floor and then start the car so it immediately bashes the limiter. The people from Yamaha that tuned the exhaust note of the Lexus LFA’s V10 didn’t spend million and millions of dollars and an incalculable amount of man hours to make one of the most beautiful sounding engine exhaust notes on Earth, so someone could get in smash the pedal to the floor and have it just get raped by the limiter. Damn, it’s like instead of Mozart composing his finest work he just went on stage and pulled a Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber. You wanna hear the most annoying sound in the World? EEEEEAAAAHHHHHHHH! but with some pops and bangs.
3000gt - awesome cars! Easily one of best 90s cars of all time.

Because it had no racing history, too heavy, and gearing was too long on top of it being hard to work on compared to other cars. Still love it though

Love the 3KS but Pretty underwhelming sound compared to other Japanese halo cars.
