I like that you say it as it is, with no holds barred. It is much better than reading the reviews of certain online retailers-who are really trying to get you to part with your hard earned cash on a racket that may not be suitable for you in the first place. You may not have that many subscribers at present (and surely will get more in the foreseeable future), but there are a small group of us who are into this and we recognise passion when we see it. Keep up the good work- looking forward to more uploads
Can you plz do a racquet review between head speed vs head radical racquets in terms of how both the racquets plays and what’s the difference between this two in terms of feel, control, power and spin.
Hi tennisspin. Thank you for your awesome videos. Can you do a video about how to customize racquets, where to put lead tape and how much, how to test for swingweight, and options to weigh up the handle using silicone or lead, etc. Thank you! Love the channel.
I play with a blade and have a friend that uses the ultra. We switched racquets for a week and me and him both agree that we prefer the blade. The 7th edition of the blade is just a really strong racquet
you provide the best gear content. I would just add one correction that a lot of pros are using the blade paintjob but underneath it's a different racket called H22. Similar mold but different layup. But the blade is still a versatile racket.
Great info. My 7th grade son uses the new ultra 100v3, likes the easy power. While waiting for delivery he tried out the blade 100v7 & the clash 100. With the blade, he got pushed around. When using the clash he was able to push opponents back with deep heavy topspin. My question is, as he gets a few years older & stronger should he switch to the blade or clash? He made the high school varsity team.
I think when he hits his growth spirt in the next 2 years definitely change him to the clash pro or blade 98 16x19 or Clash 98. I am a big believer in weight. The bigger the person the heavier the racket should be. He will only get bigger, stronger and better. Congratulations on him making the high school varsity team! My fondest memories was on the high school team with my friends. Please tell him to have fun and enjoy his time on the court. Thanks for watching.
I have used many Blades and my current stick is the Ultra 100. Blade has more plough through and the launch angle is lower. Ultra needs to be leaded and the Blade you can use as stock.
The new ultra has a sw of 315 or so. How does that make it a rocket launcher? For comparison the vcore 100 2018 has a sw of 325. The new burn 100 v4 has a sw of about 327.
Great review...just what I've been looking for. My daughter is also 17, playing college tennis next year, weighs 110lb. She's been using BLX blade 289g for a few years, and wants to switch to a more powerful racquet. We can't decide between those two you're descibing. I understand you would recommend the Blade in the long run, as you did in the video.. My great and only concern is if she's going to adjust to that weight easily, without having wrist or shoulder pain or any other issues. That's why I was considering the Ultra....What's your expert opinion? Thanks so much for your answer.
Hey, could you please compare the wilson pro staff precision 100 with e.g. a Wilson Ultra 100 when it comes to handling. I dont really understand the price difference, as the specs are so similar. Actually the Wilson precision 100 sounds like a real bargain in the range. Thank you!
I love your channel ❤️ A lot of practical and theoretical information. Any tip or recommendation for those main strings getting curved after couple of hours of the game time? Is it specific to certain strings, tension used, player technique or racquet? How to get them back straight? Keep going 💪🎾. Greetings from 🇵🇱
Have a question, am a 20+y/o beginner female, not much upper body strength (but stronger than your average girl since I've played other sports previously) Was drawn towards the Ultra since it provides more strength, but was also considering the Clash as it seems to have better reviews - especially when not modified and bought off the shelves. Less strength and more control on the racket also gives me more room to grow - not considering to change rackets anytime soon. Am comparing the older versions of Ultra 100 V2 and Blade 98 V6 Do you have any advice?
Hey man love ur channel I was just wondering if u could tell me what racquet I should pick the wilson clash 100 pro or blade 98 v7 I'm gonna get a new racquet soon and I'm not sure what to get I'm 16 years old and 5 foot 10 Im currently using the wilson prostaff 97 countervail and I'm getting terribly injured especially my elbow and shoulder I'm intermediate to advanced player love ur vids man keep well thanks for great videos👍👍
I gotchu hopefully, you have gotten better. If so, you can't push too hard on your injuries, even if they have started to heal. I would 100% choose the Clash 100 Pro. It is a pretty powerful racket and might have a bit more or less punch than your 97CV. However, it will allow you to become more comfortable. Since it has a very low RA racquet stiffness at 55. I would choose that racquet for the sake of your arm, and it is an amazing racquet in general. Good Luck!
Hey, tennis Spin, I am Surya, I am 15 yrs old, only 21 days short of turning 16. I am also a fulltime tennis player almost every day. So I want to switch from Babolat Pure Drive. I have selected my List for now, which is: Babolat Pure strike 3rdGen Head Graphene 360+ Speed Wilson Blade V7 Head Gravity and the Tecnifibre XTC... Which line would you advise me to get into ??
Hey, I'm starting in the Tennis world and I'm trying to decide between a Blade 98 or Pro Open 100 or Ultra 100, what do you think is my best option? Thanks a lot!
Great video! I would like to know your opinion but the new speed mp vs. the last one vs gravity mp. I have other rackets/strings that i like to known about but i don't want to abuse🙂 thank you very much, you are very generous in making these videos. But if one day you decide to sell online I insist on being the first customer.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that! I loved the old Speed MP, it was my favorite one since the original first one that came out years ago when Novak first switched. I feel the new one is a bit better that that. It feels a little more stable to me. As for the Gravity MP, I am not really fan of it. The sweet spot seems to be a bit lower than I am use to. It is a thinner beam so less power too. I will do a video of this when I get a chance. Thanks for watching!
@@TennisSpin I'm playing with the previous speed. I heard you have a very good opinion of the string solinco confidential, do you think it suits this racket? Lately and using hyper-g, that you are not a very big fan🙂
A very great video again😍😍I really like all your video.. Recently I want change a new racquet..Between blade v7..Pure strike 98..And ezone 98... Which one will be the better racquet ya??Can sir make a comparison review with those racquet 😉😉🙏🙏
That's a great idea. Those are all rackets on my list, and would be the type of racket I would play with. I currently use the pure aero vs however but need to change since it's being discontinued and is a but light tbh at 10.4.
Sir my tennis coach name is kalaimani he is in same India Tamilnadu krishnagiri sir I said to my sir shaal I buy after radical pro version sir I like radical sow much sir
Both the new Pro Staffs and Vcores are suppose to be coming out in August before the US Open. I am not sure if this going to happen now. Thank you for watching!
Please do the following: Get a Freshly strung racket with whatever string you like Do not use a dampener Use a new can of balls Be ready to play Move your feet Be balanced and transfer all your weight into each shot Watch the ball! Hit it like you mean it! Swing through the ball. As you zero in on the sweat spot of your racket you will feel the ball sink into the strings and blast off. It is a great feeling that you will keep searching for. What comes with this perfect hit is a nice Popping sound. Good luck and keep playing. You will find it! Thanks for watching!
When you are recommending a racquet to an ITF junior player it's a good idea to recommend a racquet that is as heavy, at least in swing weight, as that player can handle. When he gets in a tournament and there is another junior player that can serve at 120mph, the kid is gonna get his racquet knocked out of his hand. Those shitty light weight Wilson racquets like the Ultra are not gonna cut it. Your recommendation of the Blade is actually spot on for control and it can be customized if he needs to increase SW. He'll get laughed off the court if he continues to use those light weight racquets.
Chuck that’s what I explain to people as well when they ask why my racket is so heavy. I play men’s 5.0 provincial tournaments in Ontario, Canada and anything less than 320g lacks stability on return at that level.
KomenTennis yep. Exactly! Same here. Nothing less that a 330 SW for me. I play against guys that slamming 125 mph serves and ground strokes that are insanely fast. These kids in the juniors are starting to torque the ball pretty damn good. These toy racquets that some racquet companies are putting out that they are marketing as “the latest tech” are causing all kinds of arm and wrist issues for junior players and club players as well, all because they want the racquet that “Rafa” plays with. Yikes!
I am actually 20 minutes outside of SF in a town called Greenbrae and the shop called Tennis Nation. I do have a connection with a shop named Golden State Tennis in SF. Thanks for watching!

Please, could you do a comparison between the Wilson Blade 98 16x19 and the Wilson Clash? Thanks.
I would like to have seen the Clash model added to this comparison between the Ultra and the Blade
Hi tennisspin. Thank you for your awesome videos. Can you do a video about how to customize racquets, where to put lead tape and how much, how to test for swingweight, and options to weigh up the handle using silicone or lead, etc. Thank you! Love the channel.
Sure! Wilson just sent me my new Clash Pros so I will customize that on a video. I will try to do this late next week. Thanks for watching!
I play with a blade and have a friend that uses the ultra. We switched racquets for a week and me and him both agree that we prefer the blade. The 7th edition of the blade is just a really strong racquet

You should do a comparison of a WILSON prostaff 6.0 85 to a new WILSON prostaff 97 Federer, that would be cool old school vs new school
you provide the best gear content. I would just add one correction that a lot of pros are using the blade paintjob but underneath it's a different racket called H22. Similar mold but different layup. But the blade is still a versatile racket.

Can you compare the blade 98 v7 with the Babolat pure strike v3? I can’t decide which racquet to get because they are both control oriented racquets.
To be honest you cannot go wrong with the blade or ultra 100. Both are decent sticks.
What is the racket in the middle of those two?
