She's so cute. She really is a young soul. I understand her personality. It's 2020 and I'm obsessed with this human! She's my life during this quarantine. I'm almost done watching her movies and listening to her songs on repeat. And binge watching all her interviews. I'm so happy.
Update: It's March 25, 2021 and I have watched all her movies and concerts except for the one that was not released "The Forum". I admit I love her even more. She continuously inspires me to be a better version of me and she just makes me happy. Thank you Barbra.

Yes it is. I'm enjoying it so much. All aspects of her career as an actress, singer and director and of course the personal revelations about her upbringing, how she missed having her father, the difficult relationship with her mother. These fundamental things that shaped her--that shape us all. And how wonderful she is as a mother. How fulfilled she is in her marriage with James Brolin. It's a great autobiography!! And I love this woman!

I love this interview - it's very eloquent. Imagine any singer or actress of today speaking so interestingly about politics.
One of my favorite singers and actresses. Her political concerns are still relevant in 2023, I totally agree with her. We need more people like her to speak out against extremism in politics.

Probably the mosat ease I’ve ever seen Barbra in an interview. Larry King was masterful at making her at ease and it made for a very enjoyable interview
She says about singing: "I know I sort of do that well". You just have to admire her modesty. One of the greatest singer that ever lived saying she sort of does that well. Amazing!!

This intervies shows she is not "just a singer". I really can not think of any other artist so well prepared to talk about important things as Streisand.
Don’t agree with her much politically but I respect her. this interview is very revealing. Her sense of achievement and her politics are her essence. They reinforce each other. She seems deeply sincere and relatable .... Brooklyn girl makes great......... Larry King hits a home run with some well placed questions she doesn’t normally encounter and really gets her going deep.
I'm with you - her politics are naive. But she is authentic and searching, and I think she deserves credit for that.
@@wandertree She's not searching. She's a lifelong Democrat, no matter what they do. That is not someone who is searching. She hates all Republican leaders, despite the fact that the Republicans fight for small government, which is something she just said she agrees with. She's all over the map.

Thank You for that. My Mother was a very beautiful smart and educated woman who made a great wealth, some people were mean about about her accomplishments. I am so grateful for her and appreciate the challenges she met so we had a better life. Barbara's son is very handsome and blessed to have his Mother too.❤️🌺

At one time I was one of her biggest fans but not anymore. Her politics turned me off to her and I do believe she never respected her fans and used them in several different ways. When Hilary lost she acted like a spoiled kid who didn't get her own way which was obvious in her Tweets.The stage fright thing might be true to some degree. But I believe it was a career calculation (Made early on) as she knew that if she didn't tour early in her career that she would draw larger crowds later on and charge big bucks for tickets....which she did. It's all about money to these elitists...always wanting more and more.

You can see that Barbra likes and feels safe with Larry here because her almost little girl delight emerges as she laughs and her face lights up. In later interviews, she said that her husband, James Brolin, often provided that sense of care and containment she missed as she grew up without a father.

I of course disagree but when this interview happened, things were much different, even in liberal cities, things weren’t at the extremes that there are now.

Barbra Streisand is the absolute best in all that she does. Her heart, soul and feeling is into it. Her voice/singing is second to none. As for politics, she follows the truth and what is best for all. Especially, always thinking of the less fortunate. As for the reporters/ TV networks always wanting to interview her, if she agrees, which is rarely, a great many will lie making up stories. Why? It’s simple all about ratings/ making money from selling her name. Fictitious story telling. Shame on them. Barbra has a lot to say, good interesting subject matters. I do very much agree with her goals of raising money for her interest, no matter what they are i.e. politically, the less fortunate, AIDS etc… etc… Finally, I am a great supporter of Barbra’s. Once again, her heart, soul and sincere feelings and believes are in it wholeheartedly.

I rarely comment, but I am astounded by this interview. Remarkable woman. I feel like I can extrapolate pieces of her from her films. Those parts of a character which are played with such conviction and Truth. That I know it's her truth. Does that make sense? I think after Ella Fitzgerald she may be the most important female vocalist of the century. Well now I'm thinking of it; they've both got range - I think Ella it's five octaves - and for sure they both have power. As Barbara's singing has matured she doesn't seem to bring out the big guns unless the song calls for it. A true chanteuse
I didn't finish both certainly have the capability of owning a song. I think back in Ella's prime it was easier to get the money to record and it wasn't a multimillion dollar endeavor. I mean for god sakes Barbra Streisand having to prove viability. That was not supposed to be God lower case.
Ella had the opportunity to do the song book series comprising all the Great American composers from the gershwins to Rogers and Hart some sweet jazz albums. I don't know if Barbara will ever have the opportunity to really tackle the American songbook in a way she would like to do it. They'd make her audition for sure. Well I've spoken my peace and I'm just enjoying this interview. Cheers everybody and take care. Thank you Barbara for getting me through some very difficult teenage years. I often felt like Barbra was too rude, but in this interview I see her completely friendly, humble and approachable.
I think the rudeness I saw in her before was just her being on the defensive because of how she’s been treated.

Yes, she's very, very intelligent and bright; she's exceptionally talented (there will never be another Barbra Streisand) but I once had the opportunity to see her while she was vacationing in Charleston SC and she's one of the worst Diva's of all time. Barbra and her husband, James Brolin, were in a candle shop in the downtown shopping area and I was apalled by her behavior. She was very demanding, rude, not only to the clerks, but rude to her husband. It was a real turn off to me because I have LOVED LOVED LOVED Barbara Streisand since I was old enough to know her name and hear her sing. I loved her acting in the Robert Redford film but what a disappointment to see her behave the way she did. She was petulant and childish. Sorry......just sayin' Caroline

Yes. There have been many stories re bs and her insensitive behaviors. 😒 Spoiled. Always needs her way. She's had so many love affairs. Maybe that relates to her sad, unfulfilled childhood. Many have said, that after bs has enough of your friendship, etc,,,,, she will drop you like a hot potato. Has no more use for you. It's a pattern. I think it began very young. With her rare talent, she was able to do rude things to others. Has zero consequences for bs. The relationship she had with her mom was extremely complicated. Marriage with Jim has gone through countless struggles. I guess he doesn't mind being bossed around or abused. It happens in marriages. Staying with Jim has made bs a grandmother. I'm sure she loves the 2 little girls that are Jim's biological grandchildren. Not Barbra's. Nevertheless, still fortunate she's a member of all the Brolin family. Hope she treats them all well. Most likely yes.

She's so self-absorbed, she''s tiresome. She believes in big government at all levels. She's also very intolerant of any opposing opinions, always has been. Not the slightest bit interested in understanding contrasting points of view. I seriously doubt she has one (professed) Republican friend. She has a huge compound on the bluffs in Malibu: when her neighbor, a long-time resident, filed for a permit to add a second floor to his home, she tried to block the construction because she didn't want him to be able to see into her property, though she disingenuously claimed it would block her view of the mountains. At the local commission hearing, the presiding official ordered her lawyer out of the room for being so obnoxious and verbally assaultive. He ultimately ruled in favor of her neighbor, saying the last time he checked, coastal residents live there to look at the ocean. She's a bossy celebrity who is used to getting her way. She basically complains all through this interview. She needs to relax and acquire a true sense of humor. I don't find her gracious at all. There's an old adage: Creative temperaments can be hard to bear. She embodies that.
