Los Feliz, Some parts of North Hollywood and West Hollywood have these types of apts. Keep in mind, a lot of 1920s converted actor hotel buildings can have VERY thin walls, are always walkups, and rarely have amenities. I lived in one of these for 3 years. A HUGE one bedroom, with all original fixtures. It was great but it was expensive AF.
I have one of those pullout counter extensions in my kitchen too. So useful because I have limited counter space. Don’t be afraid to decorate as if it were Spanish. There’s a section in San Juan, PR called Condado that still has so much of the original Spanish Art Deco architecture from its hey day. At one point it was the place to be. Old San Juan is a beautiful example of New World Architecture that was established when Spain took over the island and Condado is where style came to pop.
That is very charming and it seems quiet, too. You should really rethink the way you talk about yourself and what you deserve. The last rental you had with your friends was amazing, but to say you didn't deserve it or that "you had no business" being there is very self-defeating. Don't block your blessings. Normalize regular things.

The bathroom is original 1920s tile, all handmade! It seems like you also have the original bathtub and sink, which is pretty rare as usually the sinks were replaced over time. The two hanging white tiles over the sink are also original, right is for soap, left is for a water cup and two toothbrushes! You are so lucky.

As for recommending LA neighborhoods, look into Los Feliz, Echo Park, Highland Park, Eagle Rock depending how far you want to go check out Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena. You can find similar types of apartments in these cities but all over LA really. As a native, avoid Downtown LA. You have a Beautiful new space!
What a unique place! I think the black looks great in the bathroom because the green is bright. I downgraded from a stainless steel double fridge to an old white one with dents & sticker residue that came with the apartment for more rent 😂 I wish you so much happiness in your new home 💖
