- This is the menu that allows you to turn off the Active Noise Cancellation on the new head unit of the refreshed maxima. This is only for educational purposes!! Use at your own risk, anything else messed with in the menu could potentially make your vehicle not road worthy!!!
For my 2016 Maxima SR, it's the volume button you have to turn left, right, left. Not the tune button. Thank you my friend
Can someone please explain to me? Wo if I turn the ANC off, will the cabin from inside be more quiet or less quiet?
I just did installed an amp and sub in one and I had to use the volume knob to get into the menu. Thought this may help those whom it's not working for.
Getting to this menu works the same way in my 2020 SV even though mine does not have the ANC like his. Just in case anyone was wondering

If anyone is looking on here with a 2016-2018 model if you disconnect the three microphones in the roof of vehicle it will solve this issue. Very easy fix!

At first it disabled all audio, and just gave me a blank screen, but I left the car off for 15 minutes, door closed, locked, came back, and everything worked fine. I checked the two settings I disabled and they were still off. Thanks for he great video.
Ryan Payne it only turns off active noise cancellation which make a high vibration to counteract any noises coming into the cabin (like adding a sub in the trunk) this video is ONLY for ANC other setting do not need to be messed with and this is for only 2019 Maxima models that are SL and higher with Bose

Yep, I’ve got a 2019 SR with Bose. I did this and for some reason my audio wouldn’t work at all. I turned it off, let it sit for 15 minutes and everything was fine. I suspect the changes needed to load or something with a restart? No clue, but thanks for the video. Everything works perfect.
Anyone know what happened to the video of how to turn this off for the 16-18 models I can’t find it

@@toney82 what do you mean? You have to disconnect the three plugs in the roof of the car. At least thats how it is in the SL models. I have a 2016.

Same steps but use the volume knob instead of the tune knob
