Men, every day you blow my mind... I don’t know what I do like most... if yours ideas, your work, hour adventures, or your excellent videos, especially the pallet of amazing colors, which generate a magic atmosphere!!’
I like that you make your own tools and show how to make them. I think it is a very good inspiration for many people to copy those things. Traditional work will never die.
Good job!! Last week we started my wife and me a two days bushcraft here in Spain. We have used your vídeos to know what to do. It was incredible!!! Thanks a lot!!
Thank you ! I am on my third try at punching the eye (first time I've tried to punch an eye) your video was very instructional and I think the next try will be a success thanks to your example. It is the small details that count, such as showing the end of the punch that you use to make the eye. With this information, the next one will work!
If you come to the states look me up. I could show you a few places where you would feel right at home. My son and I love the little knife that you carry on your side. I don't have the means to make or id try. If you ever start selling them again please let me know. Look forward to seeing more videos
You have one of the most interesting channels around. So many skills and hobbies., you differently belong on top Hope you reach 1 million soon, you belong on top 👍
Great video Bertram and thanks a lot for the close ups :) really nice to see how different people go about using the tools in they're own way. Wish you all the best and thanks again!
I appreciate your videos greatly, they are very inspiring for me and make me want to work harder on my bushcraft, and my blacksmithing skills. I think that this axe would be a nice present for my mom, since she loves a good kitchen tool. I hope youre doing well, last I checked youre working on a cabin far out in the wilderness, and I hope you haven't been eaten by a bear or anything unfortunate like that! I wish you well Bertram, and hope to see more of your adventures soon
Nice work man. You would have a big profit here in the state's with them. Beautiful work blacksmithing is, love to watch it. Thanks for video. Stay safe and good adventures friend!
It was wonderful watching your video,,, so nice seeing a real smith making a sweet little forging using simple tooling... Nice video... great editing...thanks. Loved watching your blower handle... well tuned blower
I think next time I'm blacksmithing I'll make one in order to get some training and techniques that will help me for my next step in smithing a carpenters axe. Thanks for uploading the video, it really is entertaining and helpful at the same time.
hope you had a good new year Rune, and its great to see a blacksmiths trade, something made from nothing, coming alive.. not many people left doing this anymore, and its good you reeducate the youth of today... it always something i wanted to learn to do but never got the chance as there are so few traditional smitys left, and i hope its not a dying art as with many things of today, good on you for shearing , have it good Bro
Tip: Replace the crank type handle from the blower with a wheel of the same diameter as it would be if it were installed on a wheel. It looks a bit more difficult to work around, but it makes a huge difference when you work with it as the momentum is larger.
Happy New Year!!! All the best in 2019 from Rodney and Leanne from Down Under Perth, Western Australia!!! Your blacksmithing is awesome!!!! Great channel!!! Take care!!!
Amazing work! I wish I could take a tour of your shop, I love how every tool you seem to use is hand made by you. If only you lived in Canada so I could come and have a look. Please keep making videos! I love your work. Hopefully you make a video on you treadle hammer, I think thats my next big project.
I've never heard of the existence of a "kitchen axe" before, but historical or not you can't deny anything meant to cut a person can also cut a steak fine. Find it more likely he made the design, adapted from an axe meant for fighting by adapting the design to use comfortably on the cutting board and giving it a much narrower edge than you'd see in ones in the field.
The old school craftsman - it's good to see still exist and carry those things forward. Quality over quantity. It's why I enjoy these kind of videos that show why some things may cost more because a lot of work goes into them. However to make it accessible to people apps like afterpay or open pay would be ideal. It's not about being some rich douche bag but rather allowing people to be able to have strong quality items but also keeping men like this in business and hopefully others having an interest in an apprenticeship or the like to keep this kind of thing alive. That's what I wanted to see. A person being paid what they are actually worth. The hours and time put into things like this .. each piece individual rather than just mass produced on a machine. It's enjoyable to watch either way. Men who have skills and are able to work have a much better self esteem and sense of accomplishment which is the other major reason I had spoken about that with other men. When my own dad was out of work I saw how he slipped or rather very quickly went into depression and drinking heavily again. Men need a purpose.. that's true but what they don't need is these lying using sluts who want to fuck with their heads and create an unhealthy need to serve THEM.. a man in a good healthy place will be more likely to have a healthy relationship because he knows his own worth and I don't mean financially. That's why these gold digging whores and other men who were being destructive and deceitful and just as whorish because of their egos were pissing me off. They didn't even have the ability to listen. That's why I got so fucking angry. Instead it turned into a shit fight about a whole heap of issues instead of focusing on what mattered.
Hope you're feeling better bro. Life isnt easy, and nobody gets out alive. But there is purpose if you want to see it. You can listen to the melodies in the silence, you can be peace in the chaos, you can be a sunrise to someone else's darkest hour. You got this! Sending prayers and love my man!
I never knew I needed a kitchen axe until now.
I absolutely love the lack of dependence on power tools here... Masterful work my friend.
My grandpa was a blacksmith.Watching you is just bring back a memories from my childhood.Thank you !

The only thing I hate about your channel is you don’t have enough blacksmithing videos. Keep up the great work

yeah, me too!.. how did we exist without them before??
I feel that my onions would finally respect me.
@@andrewlast1535 why did you bring up the onios??? 😭😭😭
Very creative. Your videos set a high bar for the other smiths on youtube! I love how clean and simple you keep things.
When I saw this in my recommendations, I thought, “wtf is a kitchen axe?”
Not a bad little tool and the video was satisfying to watch!
Good job!! Last week we started my wife and me a two days bushcraft here in Spain. We have used your vídeos to know what to do. It was incredible!!! Thanks a lot!!
That pedal powered hammer was awesome. I was definitely not expecting it.

Lot of respect for manual craftsmanship, no electric belt sanders or blowers, no power hammers.
I just love watching you make stuff. It's amazing and peaceful. Thanks for sharing
I find it very intriguing, the way a black smith creates with metal. Thanks Brian 78
Man seriously never learned so much from someone on TH-cam. Sincerely I thank you.

Great video Bertram and thanks a lot for the close ups :) really nice to see how different people go about using the tools in they're own way.
Wish you all the best and thanks again!
Always a pleasure to watch you work your craft
I think a huge part of what I like about Bertram's videos is the clean Scandinavian surrounding.
This guy is like "come on grand societal collapse, I'm ready for you"
I cant wait either
Wow I guess you were right...
Beautiful and very useful. I don't think it's gimmicky at all. Very well done. I want one!
