Key point I picked up... Gear shift lever.. rubber tends to wear out over the period. And I can tell u with confidence that mine is nearly blank now. overtaking at 70kmph on 2nd and 3rd gear.. is this guy on some kind or steroids.. man this car can easily accelerate on 4th gear in that speed zone and it's a beauty of that engine.. u won't need a down shift if Ur under 50kmph on 3rd gear...

Ssangyong Rexton is on the same price bracket????????Excuse me??? Have you even done your homework well...?? Dude, the top end XUV 500 (W10 AWD) in Delhi costs18.76 Lakhs (On Road) and the base model of Rexton which is RX6 now as M&M discontinued the RX5 is 25.52 Lakhs (on road). Theres a diff of 7 odd Lakhs the top end RX7 (AT) costs 27.3 On road delhi.. And sitting on Rexton's cabin is way way better than XUVs.. I like XUV but we should always compare an apple with an apple. Just because you know SOMETHING about cars does not make you an expert... Never expected this from OVERDRIVE.
The older SUV look with the whiskers was sooooooooo much better and i loved the warm red lighting in the interior rather than the blue in the new one. Mahindra should give an option to the buyers to customize their XUV exterior and interiors. Like i would love to have an XUV with older design but with new infotainment, interior color, sunroof and other features. That will also take them a notch above all the other car makers in this segment.
Customisation comes at a cost and with price cautious Indian market it may not be the best option, but it's a good option if it's offered, like the new updated interior with older outside, and different color layout of different people's taste..
Need to concur it's a Value for Money for the price range of 18 lakhs(US$36,000). I swapped my 4 years old BMW 3-series for this- been 6 months now, and wouldn't hesitate to say its been a good purchase barring the ineptitude of the service staff personnel(in Trivandrum). The vehicle is also loaded with gizmos and this makes it a 'differentiator'.
Most of the haters in the comments section have never even sat in the backseat of a single XUV in their petty lives. Their sad lives are testimony to their bashing comments. I mean is it difficult to have good words for once?
