I just hope koreans would re-watch this and learn about how our Filipino ancestors help their ancestors. I'm not bragging that without Filipinos South korea won't exist to day but atleast they stop insulting my country for being poor and so on. I don't want to leave negative comment here but please stop discriminating us because of our skin tone and our country. You have no idea what our country has gone through. I love korea not just because of me bias's but because korea is korea. Its okay not to appreciate our country like we appreciate yours but please do not says hurtful words about my country. I may love korea because it was my dream to go there. Believe it or not i can forget that dream and stand with my country. #ApologizetoFILIPINOS

I feel you ate..i love that i am FILIPINO. pero for us to ask them to apologize is just adding fuel to the fire. It's not appropriate na lahatin natin sila. Madaming salbahe sa kanila but that doesn't mean we ourselves in the Philippines doesn't have any mean people. Let's cancel hate nalang. In these trying times, we should be more forgiving of petty things. I'm not saying na hindi ako nagalit sa mga sinabi nila..i mean i too got offended pero diba mas papalakihin lang natin yung issue kung hihingi pa tayo ng apology from random korean people kasi meron bilang na mga netizen nila ang nanghamak satin e not all of them have the same opinion. Peace!

President Quirino sent his son and only son-in-law to fight in the Korean War. That was to show that how deeply he valued friends and to be an example to families of other soldiers.
Not only did Filipinos helped during the Korean War. Many Filipinos likewise contributed to the reconstruction of South Korea wvwn though the Philippines was also undertaking reconstruction of its own infrastructure that was severely destroyed during World War 2. Manila was one of the most damaged cities in the world by the war.

The Phil Army sent to Korea were well trained, battle tested, battle hardened, brave, and war strategies. Compared to the Chinese, though so many, were conscripted. Civilians who were called to go to war, with lack of training, lack of strategy, lack of experience, cowards. Even today, if Chinese wants a try. Chinese and North Koreans we will pin them down. Our scout rangers nowadays, are all sharp shooters, we can hit the head of the enemy even in a distance of 1000 meters away. We are also effective in a "close quarter battle" where North Koreans and Malaysians are very much afraid.

Yet South Korea doesn't even allow Filipinos to enter SK visa free...considering what Filipinos did for their country. They only let them in Jeju. Filipinos fought and risked their lives for SK and now that they are stable & strong economically suddenly they don't trust Filipinos.
More than the Filipinos learning this...which they should be, but more so it is South Koreans who should learn this. Than there was a time when our great/grandparents were called and did not hesitate to liberate your people from being invaded...because although things NOW aren't as bad when it comes to prejudice against Filipinos in the past, there are still Koreans who are. Having said that it is the same for Filipinos who are prejudiced towards Koreans...mostly bec of ignorance from both sides.
Let us not waste what our forefathers fought and lost their lives for in this war. PEACE✌🕊

Some say, it was called the Forgotten War because most of the people only remember the World War 2 that time.
Also lots of history that the Philippines also there.
There was a history that Jewish Refugees was openly welcome in the philippines when other countries lock their borders.
And a lot more that was never been taught in the schools.

Well one of the reasons why the Philippines stopped growing was because the next president after Marcos was a housewife who knew nothing in politics. She stopped the country from developing nuclear powerplants, stopped tons of projects and programs that Marcos created for the country, just to have her revenge on President Marcos. Goverment assets were sold to private companies for them to manage, she was so manipulated by those who have their own self-interest that has resulted for some people to enter politics not for the benefit of the country but for the benefit of themselves. Now the Philippines is in a much worse state. Why? Because upto now it still happens the president of the Philippines called himself "inutile" when it comes to China just by calling himself an inutile he is like declaring that our sovereignity is meaningless. He bows down to the Chinese government. While other neighboring countries are not bowing down despite the power and wealth differences. There are so many shits right now in our country and I pray that by living in this era of deception and corruption, Many young people will rise with the power to change and lead democracy for us to have great and patriotic leaders that will make the country turn in the right direction for the benefit of our whole nation. But right now in this very moment. Our country the Philippines is in real deepshit and is really so fucked up. :(

Back then, the Philippines was the riches country in Asia. We were far advance than the rest of the country here in Asia and so if help is needed we come to rescue without even questioning or ask anything in return. We are the type of people who loves to help even if we are also in suffering. One of the examples is the battle of Yultong in South Korea. Sad that some Koreans descriminate Filipinos not knowing the huge contribution of our Filipino soldiers who risked their lives to fight for a land they don't even know and free it from envaders. Even thou Spain and Japanese envaded us, we never hold grudges because we understand that it was all in the past. I am a proud Filipino here, thank you for this reaction.

I never heard this before until late 2000. I was on board KOREAN vessel for how many years. I wondered then that the Senior Officers, Captain, Chief Officer, Chief engineer are so kind to us Filipinos onboard. I guess this the reason why. Capt. Chil Yen Jeng of SK Shipping Korea.
