Holy cow the grappling in this game looks incredible compared to anything EA has given us.
I always loved all the cage positions in this game. I just like that you could actually use the cage not just defensively but offensively like you were doing. You could actually grind and wear on your opponent against the cage.Just gave the player more options.

16:20 This is the line right here, I've been saying this for YEARS. Its not an ego thing, but if you have legitimate grappling experience and you play this game you can tell that the guys who made it truly understand the intricacies of grappling mechanics. Its a very push pull, almost rubber band like effect that they gave to the overall system.
Yup now our options if you're a grappler "play UFC 3.." I remember in undisputed making Kurt Angle and just destroying people in pride by German suplexing them because it would rock but not KO so I could soccer kick

If they could literally take the grappling mechanics from this game and transpose them to UFC 5 and refine the clinch system from UFC 4 a little more I'd be super content with UFC 5's grappling system. It's so fluid and fast paced and the transitions aren't all animation based which creates an element of looseness and unpredictability in grappling exchanges

I commented this on one of ImUhBoxer’s videos and he said he’s going to speak to the dev teams about implementing things that made undisputed 3 so great on to UFC 5 whenever that comes. Hopefully something changes

Easily the best UFC game of all time the amount of content for offline play especially gives the game such high replayability I'm so glad i bought a PS3 for this game 😄

@@entr0phy87 If you are referring to the newer games, none of them hold a candle to Undisputed 3. Every single gameplay mechanic is superior.

@@entr0phy87 EA UFC 3 doesn't even have a title chase/title defense mode outside of Ultimate team, in undisputed 3 dozens of guys have unique animations in EA there's probably 4. Plus the zuffa days presentation is so nastalgic takes me back to my 20s it looks so sterile & soulless now. Not to mention pride mode with Bas Rutten commentary that wins alone on its own merits.
I really wish THQ was still around and making new Undisputed games. imagine what we'd have now.

You're right, Rashad was a Beast back in the day. UFC 98 was the first ppvs I've ever watched live. I had started watching Ufc Unleased on Spike. And I remember the nonstop commercials for UFC 98 "13-0 Lyoto the Dragon Machida takes on Undefeated 15-0 UFC LWH champion Suga Rashad Evans!!' I can't believe it's been 13 yrs. Those were the days.

Just amazes me that we had so many animations, blocks for every grapple situation,sitting against the cage grappling I need to buy a 360 again I used to just run through title defense mode over and over with different dudes

I forgot how cool this game is. I jate grappling in all of them, but with two people that know what they're doing, the back and forth is great to watch
One of my dreams is that another gaming company would pick up like Bellator or One Championship and give us a true mma sim experience since EA and UFC are cut from the same cloth. They both care more about the money then the quality of the sim experience

EA Sports MMA was ahead of its time. The flash knockouts were legit and I don't know if you all are aware but they had Online Live Broadcast.
They would do a fight card which included real players and people would commentate their fight. It was soooo dope.

I was young when this game came out so I didn’t remember much ..but this game is so much better and more detailed omg than ufc 4 it’s crazy . Watching this you can tell they actually took there time 🔥🤦🏾♂️

The striking is so much easier than the grappling for me. Advanced is to easy because my opponents will only do 30% damage at most, but on expert, I could be using Chael and get out wrestled by non wrestlers.

I think one of the best parts of this game is that it doesn't feel floaty like the later titles of 4 and 5.. Strikes feel impactful and i love that hud effect u get when u rock someone 😂.. i always love the small details that really add to the charm of a game, not only that the grappling looks so much quicker and less cost effective. Like u can actually make attempts to move to a side and actually have stamina to do a whole buncha other stuff.. not like ufc 4 or 5 where u can hold side control or crucifix, taking 1/3 of ppls stams off denials😂
A grappling breakdown would be awesome to see!
the effects this game had and the feeling off actually doing damage was amazing. it felt like a fight real MMA game and not the arcade preprogrammed hollow UFC games
The hours spent trying to get doctors stoppage challenges only jabbing for rd 1 then accidentally throwing a hook getting the KO being so pissed
Wow the walkout animations, the first person view replay. This makes ufc 4 look like they ain’t even trying.
Even the crowd and background characters look better than the same 2 characters in the background of 4
Hey martial great content. I have a couple of suggestions for new content for you.
1. Hunt down some of the top players on the quick fight leaderboards some of these guys have ridiculous win streaks
2. Do a video on head movement. I know you’ve done this before but after all this time it’s the weakest part of my game and I’m sure there’s more like me out there

Man this game is so nostalgic for me bc me and my friends used to beat the crap out of each other in this game. We used to get into wars in this game and it was so much fun. The game mechanics were so good in standup,the clinch,and on the ground. I definitely miss this game that's for sure. Anyway nice vid as always and keep up the great work brotha!
Rashad was like my first favorite fighter loved him on the ultimate fighter. He was fighting heavyweights and could easily be a middleweight.

Holycrap man, that cage work, they REALLY need to add that stuff into the new UFC games, because that's just super immersive, and the amount of play on the cage is awesome. Pleeeease get EA to add this kind of stuff to their game. That's one of the biggest things they need to work on. If they can manage that... their game would be golden.

I was a great grappler in this game. Middleweight and welterweight were my favorite weight classes. Pedro Munhoz at middleweight with his really good grappling and GSP or Matt Hughes
I could only beat Jones by decision with Shogun, l used to finish Anderson Silva with Sonnen!
You do more from this with a fighter that never won the title back then in title mode
