You failed to mention that it is a fisherman's paradise. Bass in the canal and Corvina in the Pacific. The Caribbean side offers great diving opportunities.
Thanks for your service Frank. I was in Navy from 02-07. Agreed about the fishing and I am an angler so I should have mentioned it. Thinking of doing a video on the flora and fauna of Panama, so that would be a good place to talk about the fishes. Enjoy the trip with your wife!
@beasleyfinds Thank you for your service. Great video. I am entertaining moving to Panama. Loved the culture and people. These videos just wet the appetite. Between Fishing, Diving and the Beach never once did the same thing two weekends in a row.

Thank you for the video, and Happy New Year's Eve! My wife and I are planning a Panama visit this coming Spring, as we are also planning to retire there. In our research so far, we have heard about the Expat areas in Boquete, David and Volcan. One of the things not mentioned about Boquete is the amount of rain they get. I messaged with a gentleman that lived in Boquete for 18 months (he now lives in Panama City), and he told me it rains most of the year there. So, if you are not someone that is into rainy weather, you probably will not like that area of Panama.
Happy New Year! In my video Why are Americans Moving to Panama I discuss the rainy weather and my perspective on it. I'm from the NE USA and my feeling is that I'd rather deal with the rain than the snow as I get older and I don't mind all the fresh flowers it brings. Definitely have to live it for a while and see if it's right for you. I'd never recommend anyone to make a huge upfront commitment to a single place. Hopefully you find the sweet spot and have great success in 2023. Best of luck!
@@beasleyfinds I just pulled up the video you are talking about for why North Americans are moving to Panama, going to watch it now. I'm also originally from NE and do not miss winter there at all! For my purposes, I measured using Google Earth and got about 60 km (~37 miles) as the crow flies. I guess it depends on how you measure things and whether you're flying or driving. @@beasleyfinds I stand corrected. You are absolutely correct. My Dad (rip) who was an Airborne Ranger in WW2 in the Battle of the Bulge always used that expression (as the crow flies).
