In my opinion it's unfair to compare Modern Sonic and Movie Sonic with each other since one is an adult with years of practice and whatnot while the other is just a kid still learning of the world.
To be honest most of what happened in the videos of game Sonic were in his teenage years, but he does have much much more experience than Movie Sonic, so yeah it is a little unfair.
