I mean, seriously, he might have had very few scenes in the last episode, but he was absolutely amazing in every one of them!
I'm loving Sam's relationship with Jack, and I'm so happy they finally addressed the clear parallel to Sam's situation in the first seasons. I was really afraid they wouldn't take advantage of this possible storyline, but I'm so glad I was wrong!
and I loved that Sam clearly referenced his addiction to demon blood in that last scene with Dean.
Honestly those two scenes made the episode for me and I just wanted to make a little something about Sam's speech to Jack, because it was such a beautiful scene and Jared's acting killed me.

Lately people talk a lot about Dean and Jack's relationship even the show itself gives it more attention but they seem to forget that Sam was there for him from the beginning and it really annoys me in general (not just in this situation) how much people give Dean attention and forget about Sammy so I am really glad to have this edit

OMG! this is just too good for words! My heart breaks every season for Sam its just sad because he will never be happy and as a SamGirl who wants too give up sometime I still see him fighting on it makes me want too fight too. This year has been hell for me 4 surgery in one year that it hard on me but I see Sam and I try too stay strong he is truly my Hero no matter what happens.

I'm years late, and I'm currently on season 11... but something I've noticed is that the writters stopped giving Sam relationships with other characters. Like, they gave Dean so many relationships with characters like Krissey, even characters that are supposed to be meaningful to both of them, like Kevin, Claire and Charlie had a more impactful scenes and moments with Dean than Sam, and that alienates Sam from the plot, specially when it Sam the one that supposedly sees a life away from hunting. When Charlie died, for example, it was made to be Dean's big sad moment and the show/writers never cared to elaborate how badly it might have affected Sam, same with Kevin, whose death was meant to move Dean's character and again, they never cared to explore what it meant for Sam.
And when they give Sam a relationship outside Dean, it's meant to be bad; like Ruby, or Rowena (at the start at least). Hell, they even made Dean and Crowley's dinamic good. My point is, I really hope I get that Sammy wholesome interactions with Jack once he shows up!

Im crying omg this honestly hit me right in the feels, I always loved sammy with all my heart and i always kinda related with him in some way but i love him even more in this season. I'm also so happy they sort of confirmed these possible parallels of him and Jack bc thats was i was thinking about from the beginning on. This season is amazing so far and because of last night's episode i really wanted to see something like this atm so thank you!! Great job :)

WOWWWW WOWWWW WOWWWWW!!!!! OMFG YEP, I FEEL ATTACKED😭😭 YOU ALWAYS GO STRAIGHT FOR THOSE RAW EMOTIONS AND THIS MADE ME WANT TO CRY!!! SOOOOO INCREDIBLE I REALLY DON'T HAVE WORDS YOR EDITING AND ABILITY TO BRING THOSE EMOTIONS EVERY-FREAKING-TIME IS REMARKABLE!! Awww, Sam, my heart breaks into a million pieces every time I remember all he has been through and what he has had to overcome. I'm kinda insanely in love with this side of of the storyline with Sam and Jack's relationship, it really for me has breathed new life into this season and makes it stand out of from a lot of the later ones in the best ways possible and I never expected to love this new dynamic so much. I love how Sam sees himself in Jack and is there for him, even when Dean is right now being driven by fear and won't fully accept that Jack has the potential to be good despite who he is.

alright, here comes the next (way too long) comment on my own personal 'let's rewatch your sam videos and die all over again' tour.
the first thing I want to say is that I *love* how you always stay in the scenes for several seconds when sam has one of his little speeches, because to me, that's when jared shines the most. he delivers his lines with so much emotion in that first conversation with jack, and seeing him getting choked up made me cry when I watched it, and you used it perfectly to parallel it both to his loneliness and to his struggle during the demon blood arch. and then you come back to the scene at 0:34 when he does that little nod that always breaks my heart. 0:43 "nothing is worth losing you." that's one of my favourite lines ever, you put it beautifully alongside 'family don't end with blood, boy' & sam hugging dean and bobby, because that's where sam gets his strength from. he knows what it feels like to be lost, but he also knows what it's like to be supported by his family, so that's what he's trying to do with jack. (I think one of the reasons he's so torn up atm is bc he feels like he failed jack and now he can't save him but anyway, i'm getting off topic.)
1:05-1:26 I adore how you explained where that caring side of him is coming from, how he manages to make something good out of his past mistakes, how he channels that understanding of not liking who you're becomming into encouraging other people to choose the right path. it's just beautiful.
and then 1:27 to 1:46 *holy crap* that montage of him drinking demon blood, being the 'freak', I still can't believe they brought that back and gave sam room to express how present that still is in his mind, and I also can't believe how amazing your editing is, how you find the perfect scenes to match what he's saying, it's like you have some kind of access to his brain and know exactly what he's thinking and feeling or something :D
1:47 jared's acting here breaks me, and if I wouldn't have cried within the first few seconds of this video, I definitely would've started after THAT. "I'm gonna save you." "you saved me." anyway, sorry, I can start blabbering when it comes to sam and jared hahaha

(I'm still bitter they killed magda... she deserved better)
anyway, as you, I was so happy when they made sam mention the demon blood storyline, I hope it'll come up again, because it's clear how well it relates to jack's situation!

I completely agree on 10x23, the mere thought of sam kneeling in front of dean and then that *nod* that jared does makes me tear up. he's so so underrated because he does so much with all his little movements and his eyes always say so much. ;__; AND SAME I love it when sam connects to people for a change, cause usually it's always dean that forms that immediate connection, probably bc sam is more closed off emotionally, but it's so nice to see him relate and be vulnerable every once in a while.
I can't wait for jack to be back honestly, I hope that his struggle will mirror sam's past addiction for the second half of the season, sam needs a proper storyline and they set it up pretty well in the first half in all of his scenes with jack, so I hope sam will not be shoved into the background for this.

exactly!!! it may partly be because when I first watched spn 10x23 was the last episode out, so it was the last episode of my binge watch of the show, but that is one of my favourite scenes in the show... so well acted by both of them, it's crazy how talented they are! but I feel like most people only appreciate jensen's talent, while - as you said - jared does so many little things that tell you so much about the character, and most people don't notice that, and I hate it!
and seriously, it's like you read my mind, you understand me completely, and I agree with everything you wrote!
I don't want to get my hopes up too high, because in season 11 as well they built a nice storyline for sam in the first half of the season but then dropped it completely in the second half, but I'm hoping this time it will be different...

yes, 10000% agree, and I always keep it to myself, because of course jensen is incredibly talented, but *aknowledging* jared's work doesn't diminish that, and that's what ppl don't understand imo. appreciating jared's talent doesn't take away any of jensen's acting. it remains a mystery to me how an actor like jared as a lead and a character like sam can be so underrated for 13 years, or in sam's case, actually be disliked and called 'boring'... it baffles me honestly.
and yeah, keeping your expectations low is something I tend to do, anyway, but I have a good feeling about this season so far. it really seems like the writers know what story they want to tell, so I hope they keep going down that path....
