instead of using the minecarts, could we not position a chest boat above the hoppers as it is easier, I guess transferring items from a chest into it would be slow but if at the top we just use a chest boat would it be better or am I missing something?
Chest boats are tricky, especially if you use lava for a fuel source. You have to shift-click the boat to open the chest, and if you have a lava bucket in hand it dumps the lava and burns the boat. I've used the smelter from @bigbooty17, and that's my only gripe with the design.
It's about 8 times as fast as a furnace... LOL It's literally 8 furnaces at the same time XD jokes aside... the design is amazing. Gonna use it in my next base

the minecarts are used because they can spread itens more equally and overrall faster, its better to use them than just using chests
@@MordexJV No I meant a chest boat since they can cover a large area and spread items equally the same way minecarts do
@@flyingprist oh, no cause they dont work properly and the thing may break

@Manzana1C i know lol, just need dramatic affect for the video
@TrevyAintGaming good one. 👍 I do love that unlike other setups this doesn't use moving minecarts that make so much noise
Does this work on bedrock?
@switchkillzy1459 i don't know, collision physics are different but you can definitely try in creative first
