Well said. The analogy of our mind to being a garden is the law of karma as taught by Buddha. Our mind is like a field or a garden. With every action, be it mental, verbal or physical, we are planting "seeds" or potentialities within the field of our mind. These potentialities one day will ripen into its appropriate fruit - meaning, engaging in positive actions (mental, physical or verbal) will result to experiences of happiness in our future lives, while engaging in negative actions will give rise to experiences of suffering. In short, you reap what you sow. This is the law of karma which is as certain and absolute as the law of gravity. It is the truth, whether you like it or not. Hence, we need to control all of our actions of body, speech and mind. And therefore, the practice of correct meditation is essential.
This is by far, one of your realest and strikingly moving episodes from your series. Thank you both for opening your most sincere selves to the public and for delivering such a fearless message for everyone to learn from. More of this please!
Very empowering 💜 I highly recommend Catriona Gray's vlog/podcast with Nicole Cordoves to the younger generation and anyone seeking inspiring content. Both are incredibly articulate and have a rich vocab, sharing extensive experiences that resonate with listeners/viewers. Their discussions are not only relevant and thoughtful but also empowering, relatable, and grounded in reality.
I stumbled upon this video randomly as it showed up in my TH-cam algorithm. This podcast is definitely a personal favorite as someone who has struggled with embracing how they look and perceive themselves. I've always wanted to join beauty pageants as a self-reassurance that I was enough. I was told to join our school pageant because they knew I had the capability to speak in front of an audience eloquently and told me that I was what they looked for: 'beauty and brain'. When I was offered to, I suddenly got the news that I was rejected due to height requirements by replacing me with no notice when I was almost the same height as one of the candidates that joined during the screening day. I always thought that they had rejected me as I was not a pageant material. Everyone looked mestiza, they were thin, and very tall, in which I was the exact opposite of the three (but sure, I was tall enough). When I was in that room, I felt so lost that I had to ask myself all over again if it was this way that I can seek validation and to reassure myself that I was beautiful enough which is why I resonated so much with Ms. Nicole when she talked about oneself anchoring towards intelligence rather than being the pretty one. I personally think that intelligence is what makes someone beautiful. A beautiful outside definitely comes from a beautiful inside and I had to learn it the hard way. Thank you so much for this podcast, Ms. Catriona and Nicole! This podcast means so much to me as it has slowly regained the confidence I knew I had in me but I chose to suppress it because of society's standards 🤍
It’s like listening to two big sisters that I never had. Thank you for this. You ignited courage in my heart and the vibe is just overall so light and positive.🥰
I teared up when Cat shared about her experience with her body being criticized kase I'm literally going through the exact same and am also on the journey of loving myself and affirming myself that I don't need to fit the society's version of sexy or beautiful. Thank you so much for this episode. Hearing this from you--my fav Ms. Universe--gave me a lot of validation.
As an extremely insecure 28 year old na panganay. I really appreciate that there is a podcast like these ones you ladies put out. I never had a guide to navigate adulting as a girl growing up, but Im glad I found this nooow. Thank you for being so generous!! ❤
First I must say that confidence is a feeling or belief that one can have faith in one self or rely on someone or something. It is a deep sense of trust knowing something will be okay.
I love how these girls speak what every young girls like me needed to hear. Please make more videos like these where we feel like we're with you, catching up and talking about life❤
Sending hugs to both of you, Catriona and Nicole. This is heartwarming, especially as a local beauty queen. God bless this podcast for sharing real conversations and the genuine sincerity in sharing your stories and wisdom with us. Thank you for paving the way.
For me, comptence build confidence not anyone or anybodys praises. You have develop skills thst will reaply allow you to do your best because you know better.
This is so rich conversation. I loved watching & listening to your stories, Cat & Nicole. You are both so pretty, brilliant, real and very uplifting. Plus, grabe tawa ko sa mga punch line nyo like yung mga reactions at tawa nyong dalawa. Grabe! Huhuhaha love you both nakakawala ng lungkot watching you girls😍🥹💗🫶
This is so nice. I feel like I have virtual ate thru Cat and Nicole. Cheering me on to take that next step. To be bold and confident ❤ 😊 so much love for you too. Keep going. Thank you for reminding that there is freedom in acknowledging our insecurities and that it is liberating as well. Cheers!!
I really sacrificed my sleep to watch this episode 'coz you got me on the first 5 minutes. Both of you are so beautiful inside and out. Nakakainspire kayo. I like how you just speak your minds with confidence. God bless you both. ❤
Really glad that you made this episode during what you have faced in London as I was worried about you...Queen.... By the way, could you please make the future episodes with more English as I really want to deeply understand about some specific topic but when you and Nicole speak in Tagalog, I would lost sometimes😭😭😭 Love you Queen...😍😍
Ang o.a ko kasi I got worried bakit walang episode last Saturday! It's my habit na every saturday to listen to the both of you! Love u Nicole and my Queen Cat!! Thank u for sharing ❤❤❤
I remember growing up, the scarcity of compliment is zero to none...that one day 2 girls at school told me I was pretty and instead of thanking them I CRIED!! because I don't believe them and i thought they are being sarcastic and just being a bully LOLOL. Back then I just don't know how to handle it because my own parents or family doesn't compliment me hahaha!
Hello Nicole and Cat! I met you both in 2018 during Nicole’s personality development workshop. If you may, I want you to discuss what were your fears before turning 30 and what were your realizations after turning 30? ❤❤❤
I love how eloquently and articulately you both express yourselves. I’ve learned so much from your conversation. Truly, ‘beauty from within exuding out.’ 🫶🏻
Damn, this is the content from beauty queens that we need. I somehow relate to Nicole's story (except maganda talaga sya kahit feeling nya acquired taste sya hahahaha)--I am always told na at least matalino ka or people can't have it all so okay lang yan. I am like ano masama sa gusto ko din maging maganda on top of being matalino hahaha but seriously, growing up with flaws--acne scars, darker underarms, chestne/bacne--really shrunk my person. I feel like I could have been more if I was not as affected as I was (still am) by people's perception about my physical appearance pero I just remind myself na lang na I am beautiful in my own way and that my body is my vessel of life. Naka-jackpot din sa partner na super affirmative when my self-criticizing self emerges its head. LOL. I love this episode SM, Cat and Nicole!! 🥺 PS: YOU are beautiful. Feel free to go back to this comment multiple times if you need some reminding. 🌻
I'm interested to hear your thoughts about the following topics (1) Adulthood - How can you tell that you have reached the peak of your career (2) Contentment - Is their such thing as financial freedom before senior years/retirement? (3) What keeps you motivated when the world is evolving so fast? (4) How to keep relevant in the world - doing podcast must be one. (4) Dealing Pinoy toxic culture (too broad but this may include the traditional/laid back beliefs of your parents or society itself).
Thank you for this 🥹🫂 Badly needed this reminder.. going through this struggles.. 🫶🏻🙈 Perfect timing just pop out from YT algorithm. -Love from Sorsogon ❤
Yes this is Roy, one of your subscribers. I find your videos entertaining and at the same time empowering. I can see how profound you are in your insights about life in general. So, I'd like to ask a question, something that was not yet asked in pageants. I'd like to know what do you think about religiosity vs. spirituality. Do you think they are the sane or different? what is your definition about religiosity and spirituality ? You nay site sine examples to elaborate, Thanks in advance for answering the question.
Hey, love watching your podcasts!! But it gets a bit tough when u don't speak in English, can you please provide subtitles for those parts if possible?? Love you!
Ako din po, ung teeth ko, kaya nagpabraces ako. Pero tinawag dn ako horse teeth nung nag OJT ako. And I remember 1st year high school ako nung nalaman ko na may two types of nose pla, pango at matangos at sinabhan ako ng friend ko na ang cute mo sna kaso ang pango mo. Haha shocks nawala ako nun sa present time nung kausap ako and naconscious ako.
Our mind is like a garden. Our thoughts are the seeds . We can grow flowers or we can grow weeds.
What weed? Marijuana? That's good
+1 po sa weed 👌

Hi Ate Cath and Nicole! Papano pala if extemporaneous speaking yung pinaghahandaan? How do we practice for that?
