How anyone can put Everest above Veloscicoaster blows my mind! Everest is a good solid coaster, but doesn't touch Veloscicoaster in any way! My top 5 is, Veloscicoaster, Hagrids, Guardians, Mummy, Hulk
Revenge of the mummy isnt shocking to see so high. Its a fantastic coaster and the queue is great, plus the queue is indoors. Deserves to be really high
Haven't ridden Mako, though I rode Krakken several years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Guardians was obviously on my to do list.... But that'll have to wait. Hulk always gives me a headache. People say Rip Ride is rough, though I find Hulk to be worse, because it always bounces my head against the sides of the restraint.... LOVE Hagrid's.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit defender right here lol. I understand not everyone’s gonna like it and that it could be uncomfortable for some, but man that music kicking (that you can choose), the adrenaline, twists and turns all make it a coaster I really love!
Yup. Sorry to say but Everest in its current form is over hyped. The ride is too short and only has a few good drops. The big draw doesn't with. Velocicoaster and Hagrid trade blows. I haven't ridden Guardians yet, but excited to see it's way up there
Revenge of the mummy is one of the best roller-coasters in the world when it comes to overall theming and thrills/excitement. It's better than Manta, Mako and Everest in my opinion. I think I would have it 4th on my list behind Hagrids, Velocicoaster, and Gaurdians.
Hulk and Velocicoaster are tied for me. Hulk is so nostalgic as it's one of my earliest memories of Universal back in 2005. The music is also amazing on it. Velocicoaster is a beast, 2 launches (I didn't expect the 2nd one), the airtime, the smoothness, everything. It is a perfect ride.
I loved this video! I know you guys are Disney Food Blog but I wish you would put out some universal content. You’re videos are so informative and have helped me so much to plan Disney that I think it would be so useful to see a couple universal planning videos too! :)
Just got back from my first visit to Disney World. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was probably the biggest disappointment I've ever had with a ride, and we had a DAS Pass and got right on it.
I get you're trying to balance family with thrill, but Velocicoaster is my no. 1 coaster in Orlando! I love Hagrid's but the animatronics are simply bad. I adore Cosmic Rewind but even if it had a regular queue I couldn't ride it more than once every 3-4 hours because it defo affects my balance. Velocicoaster is just BRILLIANT!!!
Personally I’d go Veloci, then Hagrid, then Hulk, then Mako, then Everest, and then Guardians. The important thing is: they’re all great and lots of fun :)
Velocicoaster is definitely my number one. Hagrids is my number two. Hulk is just a hood rollercoaster for first timers that are on the fence about going big or going home. Lol. Please do this but with Busch Gardens included 🤣
Ive never been scared of coasters, the Velocicoaster however.......I honestly thought i would fall out and acted accordingly screaming hanging on and being scared witless. Did i enjoy it? I have no idea will i do it again...........of course. Top choice for my whole family was Hagrids

Another major Con with mine train, NO LEG ROOM! Why they went with individual lap bars is beyond me. The ride is not intense enough to require more than a single lap bar.
Hagrid's is the best themed ride in Orlando, period, and tied with Guardians for top 2 for me. Mako and Velociraptor are are my favorite pure thrill coasters.
I didn't think I liked coasters. On my first trip to Disney I was scared of Splash Mountain and Space Mountain. Then I did the Jurassic water ride and didn't HATE it. Then last year I saw Hagrid's Motorbike and went in the virtual queue without really looking at what it entailed. It wasn't until right before we were heading into the cars that I saw "drops and backward motion". I didn't have enough time to freak out and honestly I think it kickstarted my true love of the adrenaline rides.
MK Space Mountain should be at the bottom of the list. The track is jarring and the theming needs some love. I think that the Disneyland version is so much better with the overlays and smooth ride.
I've been on all of those with the exception of Icebreaker and Guardians. Overall, the ranking I agreed most with was the #1. Hagrid's is the best ride no matter which seat you take. I personally like to be in the motorbike.
For me, my so-far favorite rollercoasters anywhere that I’ve tried are Escape from Gringotts and Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Moterbike Adventure (witch is kinda a mouthful, so my family always just calls it Hagrid’s). They’re both tied for me. Although I’m excited to try Gaurdians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. It’s my type of ride, so I may have a new favorite once I ride it! 😁

I used to LOVE the Mummy ride! I haven’t ridden it in years, but I’ve done both the Orlando and Hollywood ones. Both are great but I think the Orlando one was better.
If you don’t know what to expect; The Mummy is no joke. I took my then 10 yr old on the ride with me and her dad. I was thinking; oh the mummy, like the movie, this will be fun….needless to say, I traumatized my niece. Ooops! Still love that costed though, can’t wait for the update to finish 😊
I must be the only person in the world who hates Space Mountain. I’ve rode it 10 times over 15+ years and I every single time I feel like my neck is gonna break. The queue is sick, definitely awesome. But man, it just feels rickety.
Hagrid’s should be separated into 2 parts: the motorbike driver seat is WAY better than the sidecar. Even talking motorbike seat, Velocicoaster is clearly better based on ride experience while still giving the story experience through the queue and ride scenery.
Haven’t had the chance to try Cosmic Rewind, but VelociCoaster, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure tm, Hulk and Mako are tops in my book. Hagrid’s is second because of the sidecar seat. I'm a huge Disney fan and a member of ACE. With that said, Velocicoaster is #1 easily. No contest at all. Hagrid would be a far off third place behind Cosmic Rewind. Nothing at this time can compete with Velocicoaster in Orlando. With time we'll see if that can change.
i love that you guys tell the parents to warn their kids about “scary” rides. my parents used to take me to disney often n would tell me that the mummy isnt scary so i was traumatized every time i rode it until i was older

I feel guilty worrying about my VACATION, when so many people are going to have a potentially life changing bad experience from the hurricane.... It's selfish, I know. But we've been planning, saving, etc, for a year and a half. Already paid for everything.... and now we're not sure what's going to happen. Probably going to lose out on some things, but.... We're praying for all those in the path.... We're in NC, and while we won't get the severity of what Florida gets, we're in for some rough weather too.

If a Coaster gives you a headache, it can be a really good sign that you are having problems with your Blood pressure. Do NOT ignore this if you get headaches when riding!
I agree with the list. Hagrid’s was my favorite ride in all of Universal and easily one of my favorite roller coasters ever. I’m usually ok with roller coasters but Velocicoaster was intense even for my standards. I want to visit Sea World but refuse to go until they stop keeping their whales in tiny tanks.
Rip Ride Rockit is by far the worst ride I have ever been on, and that includes the 4 car wrecks I’ve been in (I wasn’t driving in all of these, to be clear 😂). Thankfully, we DID do this at the end of the night since my head and pretty much all my other parts were definitely aching afterwards. The metal arm that is supposed to swing shut and lock you in on my seat didn’t work! I told the team member who supposedly checked to make sure we were in correctly, but he waved me on and told me not to worry about it. I love roller coasters, including the big ones, the ones with inversions, etc. but this was a whole different story! I was literally hanging on for dear life while sliding nearly out of my seat and being thrown all around through the whole thing. Never. Again. NEVER.
I disagree with the Rip Ride Rocket. I rode this 3 times during our trip. It was awesome. Front row was great. Back row was great. It did not have any rough moments in my opinion. (Hulk had more)

cosmic rewind is my number 1 followed by space mountain and the mummy. can't get enough of indoor roller coasters in the dark especially space themed

I really like the sidecar on Hagrid’s! Disney should do this. Older people still love a thrill but may have mobility issues.

I love roller coasters, including the big ones, the ones with inversions, etc. but this was a whole different story! I was literally hanging on for dear life while sliding nearly out of my seat and being thrown all around through the whole thing. Never. Again. NEVER.

I disagree with the Rip Ride Rocket. I rode this 3 times during our trip. It was awesome. Front row was great. Back row was great. It did not have any rough moments in my opinion. (Hulk had more)
It should be over minetrain atleast.
