@@marseillaiseira alive son yk he not talking about a deceased baby…if baby henry would’ve lived none of this other queens nor Elizabeth would’ve happened
To be more accurate opium was actually in early stages of trading in Europe during this time - Liz I had quite a bit of it delivered to her court. So that was a possibility for the Queen as well as drink to help take the “edge” off but still it would have been excruciatingly painful.
This is the second TH-cam video I have watched tonight about this absurd sexist obsession with male heirs. It played a major role in destroying the Romanov dynasty, and could easily have destroyed the Tudors too, and had all kinds of other appalling consequences such as the dissolution of the monasteries and the wanton destruction of magnificent abbeys, churches and cathedrals. As for Elizabeth, her incredible success as monarch was one of the finest revenges in history. Anne Boleyn's murder was magnificently avenged. What a pity Henry never got to witness the accomplishments of his "useless" daughter.
Little did they know back then that it's the male who determines the sex via chromosomes! So those wives were beheaded for nothing, unfortunately if it was because they didn't give birth to a male heir! Thankfully, we've come a long way with childbirth if one uses the natural childbirth techniques like I used for three births in the late 1970s and early 80s, known as the renown "LAMAZE METHOD" by a French obstetrician which works for many women! Thanks for filling in the details, saw where Anne was beheaded when I went to the Tower of London in England.
Such a negative reception for one of the greatest rulers of all time. Elizabeth outshone her father in every way. If only the old king would be humbled by that knowledge.
Have anyone here seen the miniseries called 'THE WHITE PRINCESS'? There is a part in there where the former queen Elizabeth was married to the former king of that time. You might see the former queen at a river close to the castle placed a curse on King Henry VII and her own daughter's children espically the male children of the Tutor line that they cannot have a male heir.
Excellent book but it's fiction. The curse was added for dramatic license. While it's true that Jaquetta of Luxembourg, Duchess of Bedford was accused of witchcraft, the part about cursing Henry Tudor is fictional. It also claims that Henry Tudor was the one who killed The Princes in the Tower, and historians have never been able to prove that. Phillipa Gregory is an excellent author, but her books are for enjoyment. It's best to look up the historical accuracy AFTER you read her books.

Henry would never have questioned the legitimacy of his marriage to Catherine had she borne him a son.
She has... but Baby Henry only lived a couple if weeks.
@@marseillaiseirExactly.
But she had sons. It wasn’t her fault they died

I read somewhere he had been seeing Anne for 8 years before he married her as it took him that long to divorce Catherine

False Boleyn never had Ginger hair nor did Henry so Welsh Elizabeth Boleyn could never be the Mother of Ginger haired Queen Elizabeth 1st.
Your comment doesn't make any sense.
