Love the speed yellow, one of the best porsche colours, however, not a fan of black alloys on any car simply because you can hardly ever see them in photos or footage, they always seem to come across as some dark empty void in the wheel arches.
I’m with you 100%. I’m normally of the same opinion unless they have a silver rim around the black wheel which helps seperate the alloy from the tyre. Also I think a lot of the time the black of the wheel can’t be picked up because of the quality of camera. I find that my iPhone doesn’t take good pics of them, but my more expensive cameras pick up the black ‘content’ much better and shows how they look in the real world. 👍
I love the look of those wheels! Have you driven a Fiat 126 before? They really are an acquired taste. I lasted around a week in a nearly new 1 back in '88
I have a set of genuine Fuchs alloys on my 987 which I bought in 2018. They look brilliant. In combination with a set of Eibach springs make the car look so good.
I had a baby blue 126 from new…. loved that starter motor lever in between the seats and the way the whole car wobbled in to life. My parents used to drive to Germany in it. They traded it in for a Fiat Panda. Had zero problems and was great fun zipping around the town.
Love those wheels! I added a set of secondhand Faux-Fuchs 18’s to my ‘07 Cayman. They came from TireRack here in the states and appeared to also be made by Kerscher.
Thanks. Wow i have never seen a set on a Cayman so i bet they look great. They're a great wheel and really suit the shape of these Porsches. Thanks for watching :-)
What’s it like with the splitter off? Looked a nice house. Standard 987/997 airbag peel at the top. Annoys me on mine and can’t keep my fingers out. Car looks fantastic though satch.
I'm not too big on black rims but in this case against the yellow it's a nice contrast... I've got an 02, 3.2 liter, six speed, Porsche Boxster S with Fabspeed Exhaust, CAI, catless headers, IPD Plenum/TB, Bilstein performance shocks, H&R lowering springs, Numeric shifter, Polyurethane GT3 front bumper, BBS Sports classic rims (silver) 18x10 in staggered running a 265 35 on the rears etc... I think you need to increase the width on your 997 to a "305" tire... I'm thinking "275" on my 10 inch rears would look and feel perfect on my 986 and possibly even a 285; like you're running. Give it that ultra full, mushroom look 😂
Absolutely love the Fuchs style wheels. Really suit 997 especially in speed yellow. Look amazing without the rear wing too. Gives car that connection back to past generations. Just get some wider tyres to protect those rims as you say 👌
We had a ground specialist who looked at it and could only be done if the public highway was changed which the council would not allow sadly. Our normal cars were able to fit on just fine. Just the lowered cars had an issue.
Lovely house that was, Al. Mind you, that 997 looks really low at the front. As for the 126, is this a Polish version? I grew up in Italy (now in the North East of England too). Really cool cars, rear engined like a 911. They can be made to slide around and are enormous fun at legal speeds. A set of carbs and you'll laugh hard. Good choice!
Love the wheels (very similar to the Porsche Sport Classic wheels on my 997), love the Speed Yellow, and love the wing off and standard decklid on-VERY sharp!
Blimey the anxiety of driving down that kerb at the beginning without scuffing the front 🤣
It’s always nerve racking. If I’m careful and get it on the right angle it’s fine. Cheers 👍

My grandfather had a 126p, I have some great memories traveling around Europe in that car. Always dreamed of importing one into Canada.

It looks awesome mate and better without the wing.
Thanks mate 👍
Car looks ace. Looks great both with and without the wing in my view. With those wheels though, suits wingless.
Thanks 🙏

Love the 997, wheels really suit it More content please on it Too bad at the auction
Thanks mate yeah guaranteed going to make some soon 👍
That auction looked like it had a nice selection of cars!
Lovely cars, they hold the auction around every 6 weeks so I’ll head down to the next one see if there’s anything I fancy 👍

Lovely old house. Surely you could have levelled the driveway to make it accessible?

Love the wheels, Satch, but not really sure about the Fait though 🤔
Rims look great ! Prefer the flat deck as well

Looks fantastic Satch! Really nice wheels, definitely works without the wing too.
First!
Thanks mate 👏
