Great Planes ElectriFly Reactor Bipe 3D EP - My First Flight with This $60 Oldie! What a steal!

Here is another “RC Oldies But Goldies” video with a good serving of “Budget RC”. I purchased a lot of three RC airplanes for $120 from a local seller on Facebook Marketplace. All three planes were in excellent shape, but this Great Planes ElectriFly Reactor Bipe 3D EP was the most complete of the three and the most sophisticated one as well, so I assigned $60 of the total to this airplane. It came in a “PNP” or “PNF” (i.e. plug-and-play or plug-and-fly) condition, with everything except a receiver, a battery, and a transmitter. Even at $100 I would have considered this airplane a bargain… so it is definitely a “Budget RC” plane!

Ever since I had seen my friend Raj flying one of these Reactor Bipes, I have been looking for a clean and well-used specimen. Raj loves this airplane and actually owns two of them, the second one still brand new in its box waiting as a backup in case he crashes the first one beyond repair. Since this is an older model from Great Planes that has been discontinued, you cannot buy it from stores anymore, but you can still be able to find one used or NOS (new old stock) on eBay, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, RC forums or swap meets. If you find one for $100 or lower, grab it; you will not be disappointed.
