This race is best remembered for these moments: - Hayden's last ever premier class podium. - Rossi crashing into Stoner while charging through the grid. - "Your ambition outweighs your talent."
2011 will be a Racingyear never forgotten for so many different reasons but this race was really crazy in so many ways... Rossi & Marco Simoncelli had a tough day...
@@thesfdoctor3603 that's not true at all, in motogp/500 he hadn't the best competition, its not his fault but it is what it is. He struggled when the Pedrosas, Lorenzos, Stoners, Simoncellis won him no matter what and that's not in his later years. Still it's one of the greatest of course but there is a lot of romanticism in the story of sports.
@@ElGuatequero rossi won 2 championships while pedrosa-stoner-lorenzo were on the grid, won 2004 on a subpar bike and he was a championship contender at the age of 36-37 in a sport where most people retire in their early 30s. Maybe not the most talented (Stoner, Marquez...) but not everything is about talent. without him motogp would not be near this big. It is not only about results and statistics. Twice in his career, he left a champion team to join another team and it just shows how much he loves it and how big his heart is for motogp. GOAT if you ask me but that's just my opinion.

Its just sad to see that none of those useless stewards helped stoner back on his way although he was the first one up and ready to go. Got wiped out first and wasn't helped getting his bike started, all through no fault of his own.
I do agree as much as I am a Fan of Valentino Rossi but this was simply not right man Caseys Engine was still running as well too but unfortunatly he had to retire then anyways... Rossi did a mistake & was atleast man enough to appologize so I found Stoners Comments very questionable at that time but i can understand he was fighting for an World Championship while Rossi didn't...
@@davesteel81 Well believe it or not Rossi invited Stoner back to his Ranch even... im not saying that this man was perfect ok ? We all know he had intrigues too...
"Your ambition outweighs your talent". Immortal words.
Sorry to ask but why he said those words?
