    Pro tip: send this video to a riding buddy and just take him/her on the ride so you can keep yourself light

      A. Random Haha, I hate being the only guy carrying tools and essentials. Some times I feel like saying I didn’t bring supplies so my buddies know to never rely on me. I like riding without a pack too.

    Like your video. Highly recommend a small headlamp. Getting lost or making repair can sometimes run you into the dark on the way back. Hard to ride a trail holding your phone for a light. Also toilet paper or wet wipes or paper towels. Never know when you're going to realize you didn't eat the best thing before you left:-)

    I have heard that a 27.5" inner tube will also fit on 26" and 29" wheels in a pinch. I have never had to test this though thankfully.

  • @garygilbert1127

    #1 toilet paper just in case, I always keep some in a Ziploc bag in my walking and hiking packs, the Ziploc bag can also be used to protect your phone if the rain gets so heavy your pack is filling with water.......I've known people to keep their phone in a condom when hiking in torrential rain so maybe an idea for us mtbers.

  • @jltrack
    @jltrack 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    A 24” inner tube will expand to fit in a 29er. In a pinch it works and it will get you back to the car. FYI for reduced weight.

  • @ftsboys9825

    I really need to get some spare tubes and tire leavers.... I am going on a big ride today mainly bush trails with a small amount of asphalt.
    I’ve only got a mini pump a couple zip ties and a set of Alan keys. I have the guy feeling we are going to get a puncture so let’s hope we don’t because it will be a good 15km+ walk home 😬

      Just because somethings more expensive doesnt mean its better. Yes, every high end bike is going to be good but price doesnt define what is best. In this case the firebird is better for sure. But if you're a beginner you shouldn't be buying a top end 180mm enduro bike

    • @thechaosengine3020
      @thechaosengine3020 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. I ride in pretty remote places and usually on my own. This list doesn't cover what I carry on a permanent basis. It just stays in my bag at all times. If I can't fix a broken chain, puncture, snapped cable or broken mech hanger I could be in serious bother.
