I am way to excited from the hits I pulled from the Topps 2023 jumbo I just bought lastnight. Got it for $186 after tax with a bag of penny sleeves as well. I'm glad I went with my gut and got it. Pulled my first 1/1, 2 great rookie Autos (1988 shea langeliers, and silver mojo Nolan Gorman), 2 great relics (julio mlm and shohei city connect), a cedric 30/30 club to /10, a shoehei home field advantage, an independence day, and ofc some Julios
That, sound up to the big pulls then seeing the pull, is amazing.... gets me everytime.

I gotta admit, I skip the huge breaks on Jabs. Just too long for me. But I watch anything around an hour or under.

Man, what a killer jumbo box! My two jumbos were pretty decent. Adley 88 insert gold /75, Alonso vintage stock, and a vladdy heavy lumber SP.

Between yesterday’s video and today’s id say that jumbo is the way to go in terms of hitting numbered parallels, not just looking for rookies but any chance of hitting numbered anything. Awesome box though.

I got one in my last two jumbos i bought, 2022 series 2 and 23 series 1 both extra silver pack auto baby, jake mccarthy who looks pretty darn good, and this year Shea Lang

Hi Phil, I've opened my first jumbo of S1. I got pretty lucky my auto was a Pete Alonso relic and I got a silver pack Nolan Gorman mojo autograph to #25. My second box is on the way.

I bought a couple blasters while I was out and about. Def don't waste money on those. I think jumbo is the way to go for sure. Even at only $25 for a blaster, it's so hard to get your value from it.

I pulled a blue border 88 of Wander Franco. That was my best hit in my box.
I know it isn't exciting in relation to cards, but Oswald Peraza has a really smooth and absurdly fast transition from glove to hand. He's got great range, speed, glove and arm. If he can hit, he's gonna be at the very least a mid tier star. Less than 50 ABs last year, but he did bat over .300 and if I recall, his OPS was somewhere between .700 and .800

I hit the advanced stat of Adley Rutschman from my jumbo box yesterday
Hangers and Blasters are 2-5 X harder to get parallels or hits than last year. Oof. That said I did pull an Alek Thomas bat relic #/199 from a hanger and a nice Judge manufactured relic from a blaster.
I myself went to my LCS and bought 2 packs (one hobby and one jumbo) pulled a Home Field Adley and a Gunnar /300 😅😅

Pulled an Ethan Small Rookie SSP in a mega box. Was pretty excited until i found out he was optioned to triple a a few days earlier.

You're right, some of the singles for series 1 are selling for kind of ridiculous amounts. I put some bids in for Nolan Ryan series 1 cards and they all sold for WAY more than they will be worth. I'm not about having the first of a card and will just buy what cards I like at the end of the year for half of what they are going for now.
I never will understand why for the first week or so after a product release, the secondary market goes crazy only for it to, Every. Single. Time, return to a sane level. Who are these people buying these cards at those prices? I get it with a really low numbered card, might be your only shot to buy it. But remember Bowmans Best refractors (not even numbered ones) of Wander going for triple digits? Every dang time. Lol

They need to start numbering base
Topps have loaded up the hobby and jumbo boxes for 2023 series 1 (especially jumbo) they much better odds than retail boxes, which has terrible odds comparatively

Congrats on the great box! I opened a Jumbo yesterday and managed to hit some pretty nice cards as well. (Video on my channel LOL) I hit a #'d auto, a SSP and a Mark McGwire bat relic! At first I wasn't a fan of this years design with the "mugshots" on them but I am growing to like them! Yet another great video Phil!
