Huge storm here up north! Still went out to Target to grab another Topps 2023 blaster haha. I'm collecting all of the commemorative patches for fun and got one I didn't have yet, so I was happy I went out.
Honestly, there's like a 75% chance I watch a video I'm subscribed to but probably less than 20% I watch a live stream, so the approach makes sense to me. I'm loving Series 1 design, checklist, and most the parallels (the relics still suck though I like the idea of building in city connect stuff) but jeez everything I've seen regarding retail has been a deterrent. I'll buy a couple hobby boxes (rarely jumbo, especially how much prices have already shot up), otherwise I lean into retail but this year might be one where I save myself some money just based off the limits of 2023 retail.
I enjoyed and watched the entire video. I was not able to get a jumbo box before the price went up! Kind of envious to say the least. I could have got one from Topps website when they dropped but didn't have the money in that moment. I had 4 Topps buyback cards and took them to my local LCS and did a straight trade for a hobby box. After watching your video and hearing what you had to say, I feel I got lucky and pulled only one #d card, it was a gold card and it was the same Adley that you pulled.
The jumbo silver pack seem to be really tough for an auto this year. It a shame the completely killed retail this year, might grab one box just to have a few. Jumbos are just not in my “happy wife” range
cards are awesome that rainbow foil nestor cortes was my favorite, those boxes are expensive for me wish i could afford them great content keep on rippin
Man being able to get these jumbos at retail price was such a good get. Feels like update hangers from every pack. I've opened 2 so far and more than made money back on them, with sets still to make, with 3 more on the way from topps!
I ALWAYS watch the entire video. Jumbos are so much improved in 2023. I feel as though hobby had become pretty equivalent in terms of value, but not any longer. Topps should treat jumbo as more of a premium rip anyhow. Thanks for the video!
Jumbos are the new hangers! Lol. I really like the 2023 design and I think the rookie class has a lot of potential and is pretty deep as well. I’m gonna pass on all retail of this product and I think ima continue to buy jumbos as long as they stay less than $250 or so, don’t really wanna pay more that bc they were $150 not long ago. I really wish topps would force their authorized dealers to follow a msrp requirement for hobby/jumbo boxes. * I watched til end*

My Walmart just restocked today with retail.
I got a rookie camo /25 and a ssp from my hobby, jumbo had nothing good. Must just be me but im sticking to the hobbies

I still cant get over how good the silver pack mojo cards look!! I wish i could get my hands on some silver packs without the price hike!

Yeah blasters and hangers are trash. From experience and watching people open them on youtube, very very rare to get anything significant.
