This man is one of the best, he signed my grandsons jersey at age five, now he’s nineteen. Thanks Mr. Reed again. 👏🏽👏🏽 From Baltimore, Maryland.
He signed my sons as well, he's 20 now. Him and Ray we got in Westminster
My grandsons signed in Westminster also.
“When you've studied and done your due diligence trust it”. Love that quote. Mad respect to this man!
Now I understand that a lot of famous athletes who know Ed Reed keep their distance from him. He will tell them straight up what they are doing wrong and tell them the truth they don't want to hear.
Ed Reed was blessed to have a strong father figure at home. I think his world would be a better place with more families like his.
Way more than just a story about a strong father. Ed needed a person from the school to literally help him pass high school. You don’t think it shows how those communities are so underfunded that typically a family/school can’t even push their kid to pass school. Dude talked about how his parents literally couldn’t be there cause they had to be gone all the time to just to provide
Indeed. He was also blessed to have some key people in his community circle that that stepped in to help him reach his potential. Sometimes it takes a village. Something was instilled in Ed Reed that gave him the drive and ambition to achieve and get past these obstacles. He could have easily taken a path into another way of life. Underfunding? That opens up a whole new conversation. Who is in charge of allocating funds, where does the money go in these towns and cities? @@milesleslie8084
@milesleslie8084 Reparations are due, to Foundational Black Americans
The world that was created by the dominant society, that destroyed his community.
Greatest safety to ever play the game. Ints, sacks, and his special teams work is so underrated. A true student of the game, the brains, the attitude and the physical gifts
The Ball Hawking ED Reed the best Safety in NFL History
Me and my youngest brother were at the Browns game when Ed took the 106 yard int to the house RIP to my baby brother Phil
RIP phil ❤
Ray Lewis and now Ed Reed!?! Killing it!
We need more Ed Reeds in this world. We all know that he's one of the best safeties ever, but more importantly are his beliefs and respect for people. Thank God for all 4 of his parents and everyone else who helped mold him into the man that he is. GO RAVENS!
Lifelong Steelers fan here; I always always loved watching Ed reed battle the Steelers. Epic memories. Outstanding interview Mr buck! All the best to Ed reed in the future.
Same dude.
Steeler for 20+ yrs and man i *HATED* those Ravens teams with Ray Lewis & Terrell Suggs. Circa 2008-2012 the absolute height of the Ravens/Steelers rivalry.
But i always *ALWAYS* ahd mad respect for Ed Reed. Why? He wasnt a showoff or loudmouth like Lewis or Suggs. Dude just quietly went about his business and he did business right!!!
Him and Troy Polamalu are the living embodiment of *KEN & RYU from STREETFIGHTER* cuz are virtually one and the same.
Ed's a better deeper ball hawk than Troy is tho. Lol
@@leonardobraynen1524 I’d compare reed to Rod Woodson more than Troy. But all I three would be top 10 all time d backs. No question. Pittsburgh fans have always loved watching great d.
Stealers Ravens battles were epic I couldn't stand that loudmouth Joey Porter or the cheap shot artist Hines Ward. That’s not just my opinion he was voted “ The dirtiest player in the NFL by his peers” other players in the league during his era said that about him
just wrote something very similar above.
I consider myself lucky to have been able to watch his entire college n pro career. Game changer!
He's one of the best!
I respect this man more than i already did. Great player, but greater man. 🙌🏼
I got to watch Ed and the 2001 Hurricanes obliterate my FSU squad in Tallahassee. In typical Ed fashion, he had 2 picks and blocked a punt recovered for a MIA TD. I think he got his fingertips on a couple other tipped passes too. It was obvious that even then, he had an uncanny knack for being around the ball, and I kept wondering "who the hell is that Reed guy?" At the time, I was fuming about the loss, but in hindsight, I'm really glad I got to see that game, because I got to watch the greatest safety of all time play football.
What a great man, person and a amazing athlete and such personality. Thanks to people that helped him as a kid and giving us a chance to watch him. ED Reed is a hall of fame player and person.
I saw every game he has played since college. He is what being a hurricane is all about
Wore my Ed Reed jersey during the first half against Houston. Tied 10 to 10. Switched to my Anquan Bolden and we won 34-10
I have weird superstition where I can't where a Jersey during the game lmao
Every interview gets better and better....
Great job, Joe and team!
“I’ve got 2 tickets to paradise”
REEEEEED!!!! 😈😈😈
Dam..!! Ed Reed...This guy is something special.
The Honesty. The insight. The Talent. The Laughs
You Hall of Fame , in my book. 🏆 #1
Ed Reed has always fascinated me. This interview did not disappoint.
Oh lord, did I ever love this man..❤❤❤He was the best out of all the rest..👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😊😊😊
This is a great man! Didn’t get to see every side of him when he was playing but since retiring, can see just how truly great he is not just at football, but as a human and a man
THE BALL HAWK!! and an even better human.thanks Ed
The absolute best interview so far, wow 👏🏾. Amazing GOAT Ed Reed!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fire 🔥 interview, thanks to both Gentlemen
How do I miss those Miami Hurricanes teams..........best college team ever, so many first rounders and Hall of Famers
This is the humility I’ve been wanting to hear from pro athletes…
Many act like they had no help and that the rest of us are dirt beneath their feet
Ion no what athletes u been watchin
Damn. I always loved Ed. I didn’t know my boy was this charming. W interview for sure.
Idk if it’s bc I’m from New Orleans or because he is so deep I love hearing ed reed talk ! No bullshit just the truth
Ed is my favorite Raven by a longshot. 52 is obviously legend but there was nothing like watching Reed pick the ball and flow up the field like water. My all black #20 is the only jersey i'll wear.
Living a full life, brings emotion recollection. A life well lived. Nice that Mr Reed recognizes, where he came from and those that helped along the way.
Ed Reed greatest safety of all time!
Ed I watched you on Sundays and said to myself. That’s a once in a generation player. I modeled my game after you and prime! Well done sir!
I've been watching the game for 60 years Old Raiders and Patriots fan. Ed Reed Top 7
I'M a COWBOYS fan but I got nothing but the ULTIMATE RESPECT FOR ED REED.
how a bout them Cowboys 🤣
@@bgb946I’m also a Cowboys fan and yeah the early out per usual. But they are still the most valuable sports team on the planet, so I would say they good. Ed Reed is my favorite DB all time
#DC4L
They did excellent with this interview
My Number 1 Favorite Player of All-Time is Ed Reed
Steelers fan here, mad respect for the Ravens organization and ED. My favorite player is Troy Polamalu and he and Ed Reed where obviously two of the GREATS Those divisional games back then were the football version of a blood bath!!!!
Ed Reed is the GOAT!! I hope he gets back into coaching college football!
Ole man Ed Reed.
I love Ed Reed even more now than I did 55 minutes ago. Good job, Joe!!
Here I thought Ed Reed was my favorite player of all time, but now after watching this ain't no way anybody is better than ol boy!!! ED you my dog!!!
Never knew his story. He's awesome. 😊
Reed, Ray, Flacco. My favs. Reed is a generational talent. His and Ray's film study was top notch.
I said wow on another amazing interview but this one is unreal. It's a least a double wow. 2 great man talking about life and putting it all out there. Mr. Reed is not just a great football player, he is very intelligent, insightful, and caring. He is right about conspiracies in this country, they aren't just conspiracies. Love that guy just from this interview! I am just a little old Kansas guy, but always wanted to do big things and never gave myself the chance. Now I am seeing what I missed out on.
One of THE TOP2 Safety iin NFL history. Ed Reed was a true ball hawk. Truly the last line of defense for The Ravens
Who's number 1, D Sanders?
@@dajay2kDeion is a cornerback
@dipset22554 thanks man. I'm from London, learning the game!
@@dajay2k Ronnie Lott. Look him up.
@@dajay2k he’s definitely one of the greats so good start knowing him lol.
Thank God for Ed Reed - tremendous competitor.
My Bro From High school till Today The times we Had
I really enjoyed this interview with one of the best Safeties I ever seen.
Ball Hawk ❤ man I love watching his highlights
That hug with Belichick tells you everything you need to know 🔥🙌🏿✊🏿
The letter didn’t unlock anything, the hard work, the dedication, the vision unlocked his future. He asked why is it so hard are you trying to make us fail? No, that test is the same for everyone, everyone has to work for it, every successful person toiles in private to become a success.
So, I just wanna say, THANK YOU, for this show, I enjoy listening to some of the real stories from some of these guys. When I watched the games and listened to the radio stations or see the ESPN stuff, you only get what they want us to hear and see. In this platform some stuff is gonna come out that we didn't know and as long as they keep it real...I LOVE IT. I have watch Ed Reed play his whole career from my couch in philly as an Eagles Fan...and I am a bigger fan now of Ed Reed, because of the REAL Talk he put out there. Mr Reed, I wanna thank you and as a player well not many better and now leading other young men toward there goals absolutely awesome. keep up the great work and God Bless.
Baltimore will always love you Ed Reed FOREVER 💯
Amen. Thank you for a great Interview. 👍 😅
Kids today will never understand what we got to witness growing up the NFL before 2016 was different
I'm 56, been a Steeler fan since "75". However, I'm a football fan 1st. Ed and Troy were like beasts of the AFC North as well as league wide. He's truly one of my favorites
That man could play ball. Just a cool kat. A legend among legends
Ed Reed talking about taking notes reminds me of Marshall Faulk talking about when he went to St. Louis and he said the same thing about guys not taking notes.
I’m 36 and my friends still call me Ed Reed. The only celebrity I fan over. #20 HOF
Speaking of ACT test .. I was a prop 48 it was devastating
Man the guests on here lately have been insane!!!
Amazing interview!
this is finally on youtube!
YUP!
Wow, I didn’t know anything about Ed other then he was a great player. Now I know he’s a great human being!
This is a truly beautiful story. This is a total inspirational story. Just like his road dog Ray Lewis. Two great men. Leaders. Just goes to show that the U can turn out some great people.
Wonderful interview. A part of the interview that I hope doesn’t go unnoticed, is when Ed talks about doing things as little as picking up your trash. Those little things add up to the big things.
It's one of the things Coach Prime insists on when guiding the Colorado Buffs football team.
We are one beautiful Ed Reed is the goat of the nfl under appreciated
Best safety of all time, and even better human being, God Bless #20!!!
Best safety all time ❤️
Everyone needs to hear this!
Fantastic Interview Coming to you from St. Louis
Ed is a real one
I’m so happy for Ed! Great all around leader and even better man. Never makes excuses…..just does what he needs too. All World Talent! Outside of Deion Sanders, the only other player that all quarterbacks feared.
One of my favorite players! As a die nasty Patty;) respect and love BAL
Yes the great Stan Scofield, I remember him.
Awesome interview! I learned so much about this person and myself. Continue blessings Mr. Ed Reed.
A great interview, Ed Reed is great!
A True GOAT!!!!
By far the greatest ball hawk safety of all time...Just pissed he played in my division 🐯🐅🐯🐅
My favorite non Patriot ever. 20 was incredible as a player and still incredible as a human.
A man amongst boys who wanted to show everyone the right way
Gaming we are here for you congratulations on almost 1k. This is what cowboy nation does we support all Nu Media cowboy creators.
Wow! Truth! So good!
My favorite Raven of all time. Was so mad he wasn't allowed to end his career in Bmore. He earned that.
As a Steelers fan I always thought Ed Reed was the ultimate NFL jerk. This interview changed my perception.
He played during the height of the rivalry. Polumalu and Joey Porter and Hines Ward can suck it.
Thanks!
What a great interview
The 🐐
Love Ed Reed
REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY NICE
Nothing else to say except WELL DONE
I liked this guy!!!!!!!
Ed Reed is a real one. Bethune Cookman lost out big. What an impact he would've made on those young men.
I like ed reed. Good dude
After 9/11 BC was on the threshold of beating an incredible Miami team when a deflected pass was intercepted by a Miami lineman and Ed Reed stripped the ball off his own teammate and went 80 yards to the house and sealed the win for Miami. After that nothing Reed did on the field shocked me. Right to the very end when Belichick basically declared Ed Reed the best player at his position that he had ever seen.
Eds dad loved his son but he knew ed needed more. Ed was most likely was his own worst enemy but he was smart enough to know he needed accountability for when he was alone. Ed was a little immature growing up. He was on the straight and narrow on the football field because of the lights and cheers, but he needed the encouragement on the other side of the ball.
He looked so beautiful, so handsome, here in this interview.
legend
REEEEEEEEEED!
