    Engine braking being very strong is because OEM's cut the fuel injectors completely "off" when you close the throttle (emissions, fuel economy). It's equivalent to hitting the kill switch. Older carbureted bikes never did this because so long as the engine's pistons are going up and down, there's a minor amount of fuel going in. This can be adjusted in the ECU flash.

      Thanks man I appreciate you clearing that up!🤙

      @@GoGoober There's a handful of very good tuner channels that talk about these sorts of things. Not everyone can understand it all, but everyone can attempt to learn about it.

    Good video. I had the ECU flashed/tuned on my 2020 Ninja 650 about 9 months ago and it was easily the best performance upgrade I could have done. It made the bike feel so much more enjoyable to ride and overall felt more powerful. I just picked up a 2023 Z900 and cannot wait to start modding it. Definitely planning to get either the Austin Racing or SC Project slip on and eventually get some headers or at least do the de cat. Unfortunately I am going to wait a year to send out the ECU when the warranty ends. I never thought of doing the suspension but after watching this video now I am interested. I'll have to look into it for sure! Keep up the good content.

      Ayyy thanks man I appreciate that you took the time to watch and comment your experience flashing your ECU on that Ninja. Did you trade it in for the Z900 or do you still have both? Always stoked to see another Z900 owner so many people are getting them!

      @@GoGoober I traded in my Ninja and so far I am not disappointed. Unfortunately it's pretty cold in the Midwest and lots of snow now so she'll be in the garage until it gets warmer. I'm absolutely stoked to start really riding it!

      @@lNickHD Yeeahhh buddy! Yes the 650 class of kawasaki is very tame comparatively, Z900 is just so much snappy fun

      Hey man I got a 2022 z900 and put a full sc project exhaust titanium headers and the CRT slip on....made a huge difference....dropped the bike off last week for ecu flash ,power commander and Dyno...pick it this Saturday...can't wait to see how she rides

      @@duanemagi-lp6vh That's awesome! I also have the CR-T on mine, but haven't gotten headers yet. I just did the breadbox delete and added a mid pipe. Man that CR-T sounds sweet but she's so loud now. Cannot wait to get it tuned!

    Great video and commentary. I bought a used 17 a month ago with no ABS and none of the traction modes of the 2020 or newer Z900s. I'm sending the suspension off to James Daugherty to respring/revalve. Getting the suspension right may not be sexy like a pipe or other bling but I consider everything else secondary. I'm just down the road from 2wheeldynoworks so I bought their ECU flash during the holiday sale too.

      Ayyy thank you for watching! 2017 z900rs is def a great bike, very comfortable compared to the Z900. Let me know how much it changes your bike for the better, definitely not sext hut necessary for!!

    What was the price to set up the suspension I'm on Los Angeles there's a place in Azusa that does that also curious what the price should be

    • @GoGoober
      @GoGoober  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I got mine done for around $70! But upgrading the suspension to ohlins or something would be like $1k I bet

      Not 100% sure, I know 2WDW does a flash for my exhaust specifically though!
