  • Does the convergence of traditional and contemporary always need to be like a head-butt, or can they be more like a handshake? Kiwitrans’ owner Dave Malanaphy will undoubtedly lobby for the latter, and a thriving company with three new FH16 Volvo 9-axle combinations harbouring the odd hidden surprise make his case a compelling one.
Fitted with curtainside tipping body and trailer by Domett, the real surprise come from the PTEK wireless trailer wiring solution.

They're there to prevent the curtains bulging when used for bulk tip work.

Curious, how long is the front body or box. Looks pretty short.

The only measurement we have is that the truck and trailer deck lengths add up to 17.6m

How much does it cost to get a CDL there?

The highest class of license you can obtain in NZ is called a class 5 license. This allows you to drive virtually any truck on NZ roads. You’d be looking at around $2000 NZ to do all the courses required to go from Class1 to 5 if you don’t want to spend two years doing it

@@jamesrobinson939 thanks for the information. Wow, that is cheap. Here in Anchorage, the prices start at 2,800 to 10,000 depending on the weeks of training a person needs.

@@jamesrobinson939 about 3 to 4 grand bro. Depending on if you can provide a truck yourself for class 4 and 5 in some courses
