LoL! I still have my brushless converted 1/8 truggy from a few years back. I was racing while it rained, and the track became really sticky. The earth turned to clay and truggy slowed down, even at full power, and eventually stopped with mud balling up the tires till they were huge! And guess what, all the hexes in each wheel were still spinning! Hehe, totally ruined each wheel!
The cleanup is a pain lol

I'd love to try one of those 6x6 Tamiya Monster Trucks on this, just to see how it goes since they're around 1/18 scale with large tire area so should be interesting.
Would probably be a nightmare trying to clean it afterwards though. Also would probably need quite a bit of modification to get it competitive.
My Kraton won the Pro Open class.. it was the last race on this video.. it was stock right out of the box with (2) Gens Ace 4s 11,000 mah 100c lipos .. for the win. It takes 10 minutes to wash it. I use the pressure washer and spray it down with wd40 afterwards. lol
@@OvalRC Yea that's the nice things with the bigger trucks and the ease of cleaning.
I was referring to one of those little Tamiya's though since they're mostly shelf queens. Having to clean the 1/18 6-wheelers would be hell I'd assume. Around like 50 bearings or something to go and grease and check if it's clogged lol.
I'd love to get myself a Kraton but sadly Arrma's are pretty rare in my country and I'm rocking a Slash 2WD atm.

@@javii5326 I doubt it so they would probably have to be replaced with tougher metal ones.
That being said once you upgrade the gears then you'll probably need to upgrade other things so if would be a ton of work just for an experiment lol

I know I’m late saying this but I have the exact same car (rustler 4x4 vxl) but mine only has 1 mod the optional gearing

Maybe he meant a Latrax Teton. That's the only 1/18 I can think of currently unless it's a 1/16 Summit (or even a E-Revo)
yeah.. i could be wrong. Sandy had a small Stampede at the last Mud Bog.. I thought it was 1/18 or 1/16.. check out my last mud bog video and take a look at her stampede.. it looks smaller than a slash.. but .. I'll ask her again to find out.
