Cartoonist Mario Miranda dies in Goa

Acclaimed cartoonist Mario Miranda, who made Goan landscapes and people come alive on canvas, died at his ancestral home in Loutolim today after a long illness, family sources said. He was 85.

its actually sad that people are recognised after they are no more. He was conferred Padma Vibhushan posthumously by the President.

of course he died in Goa he is a Goan and as such he lived in his hometown if you dont mind
