Puppeh might not have the consistency of Pandarian or the recent amazing wins of Ned, but he definitely has the strongest clutch factor. Granted, in his set vs Samsora Samsora really shouldn't have gotten hit by the second back air, he was too confident that Puppeh wouldn't go for another one and it cost him big time.
these ZD set losses expose what holds fox back as a character. Grab is useless, nearly impossible to kill outside of up smash, and such a predictable recovery.
Fox is badly designed. No character should be forced to kill at 250+ because the opponent holds shield. And this was a small stage, at the ledge. Even characters who aren't considered to have a killthrow like Lucina will still kill everyone at 180. I'd rather have Fox's upsmash or something nerfed for a better throw just so he's more balanced and less stressful to play.

Yes fox doesnt have grab follow ups or kill throws, theyre all for stage positioning, and then youll be able to kill them by ledge trapping or catching their landings and such. Yes fox does struggle to kill for sure but if youre not killing till W A Y late thats all on you bro
That has to be so frustrating, hitting someone with your bair at 130% and getting the kill screen just to see them flap back to stage, and then to lose to the sour-spot of a hit. A win is a win but its hard to say that ZD didn't play better.
Misplay in the position don't stay near the border of the stage trying to end hit with a back air when you can get gimp just hold the center of the stage let the charizard recover then its gg.

He’s hard to deal with because of his speed, and his options that he can use within half a second can stuff out any option a slower character, which is every character, can throw out. Can ya tell I’ve had a lot of bad experiences with Fox? I don’t understand why he’s considered so hype. He’s such a lame character purely because of his overwhelming speed and surprising power (I’m talkin bout mf-ing UP AIR)
Agreed. It’s one of the reasons I don’t like characters like bowser fox and bayonetta. They use the same 2 moves over and over again yet still win and get praised for sKiLl. Yet complicated and nuanced characters like Zelda, Olimar, Megaman etc get called trash even though their combos and juggling take time and practice to execute. Kinda sad. Puppeh did great

I mean, Fox does have one of the best kill confirms in the game with nair upsmash. It's relatively safe to go for and kills pretty early.
