WOW! Thanks for posting these! I remember seeing them on the old channel 8 public channel and wanted to tape them (back when VCR's were popular) and I never got it done! I love local history and these are great! I can't wait to show these to my aunt in the nursing home. This will make her month!

Nice job on this 5 part series,my dad used to work for C. Reiss Coal Company `til those Koch brother vultures bought `em out,and of course the Chordettes and I believe one of `em married Archie Bleyer(a MGM bigshot who was really quite good at what he did)and I believe mr. bleyer died in a Sheboygan nursing home and I think theyhad a professional basketball team 1948-1949 or something
    in that area and they
were named the Sheboyan Redskins, ironically, too,I think.....I once was lucky
enough to see the King and his Court,Ed Feighner and 3 others on the team,
the team was a travelling baseball team playing almost at random other teams,
I misspelled his last name maybe but he was genuine and would talk after the games to locals, and he was a REALLY FIT person and helluva entertainer!!!1`nuff
said,A Sincere Thank You for posting this series, worth viewing more

Man I wish a lot of the standards kept up to now. Still nice place, but damn.
But also it's also Interesting to go "Those are still here! Oh that place was just torn down :( oh damn that area looks so empty!"

hey, we still do - even tho I'm in San Diego now. I moved here for the Zoo. Sheboygan Zoo at Volrath Bowl was very important to me.

yeah, last time I visited in 2009, the beach was so trashed! I couldn't believe it.

I an so ashamed of ANY video or person who cuts out parts of the Declaration of Independence. It is "one nation UNDER GOD." Why do we have to cut God out of everything? This country was founded by.people looking for freedom to worship God as they wished. Now everyone wants to cut Him out of life and history. If believers in God don't stand up for their rights to worship and have Him remain in our history this country will completely fail. Look T what is happening already!
