Manitowoc Minute host Charlie Berens teaches you how to make a Wisconsin style brandy old fashioned sour (although sweet and press are also options). And while you're drinking it you can fill out your 2020 Census at 2020census.gov. Ingredients for the brandy old fashioned include oranges, cherries, sugar, bitters, ice and love. And by love I mean brandy...It's the perfect Midwest concoction for supper clubs, weddings and/or funerals.
Please make a whole series from your kitchen and invite the Target Dads to share their recipes as well.

I live in Illinois. I only drink old fashions with brandy. One of my favorite dining establishments uses only Korbel brandy.
By the way, I've been to the Korbel winery in California. According to the tour guide, 50% of Korbel's brandy production is shipped to Wisconsin.

I remember reading somewhere that the Korbel brothers introduced their brandy at the Columbian Exhibition of 1893 in Chicago. Wisconsin visitors though it would be great in an old fashion. The rest is history.

I'm sure you are but for those who think it is OK to throw it out... remember we have a pandemic right now and the last thing we need is for older people to be going door-to-door to get information from you so they can turn it into the census but that's what's going to happen and that's some scary shit.

In Maine we add a little lobster for garnish. Then we pair it with a lobster roll. You can also substitute the hammer with a snow shovel on the really cold days.

I recently discovered the Wisco-N-sin old fashioned mix when traveling thru the great white north.... sipping on a few and I remember my Bestefar(Grandfathers) teaching me how to make them for him... is 8years old to early to learn how to pour a proper Old Fashioned or Manhattan? I feel sorry for all those folks who stocked up on TP instead of booze. Alcohol kills the virus. 60%, I think. So a couple two 'tree brandy old fashioneds should easily get you to that 60% mark.

WHO recommends limiting alcohol consumption though, since it is likely to make people behave carelessly and therefore more likely to contract the virus

Nah man, I don't know. When I was a bartender in Milwaukee I had a few customers that wanted me to muddle the shit outta their old fashioneds. I muddled the rinds and people came back for more. But then again after a couple old fashioneds people are buzzed enough maybe they can't taste the bitter as much 😂

If ya don't want the sugar don't order an old fashioned man, why don't you order a bud light like all the other business majors buddy, it's basically club soda.

Well, yeah, you buy a garage door opener, they give ya two opener-clickers, but ya only got one car. Where ya gonna keep the second clicker? In the junk drawer. We remodeled the kitchen three years ago and the old junk drawer is still in the basement where we put it with all its stuff in it. How else would we know where the spare garage door opener clicker is? And the pipe cleaners. Where else would you keep pipe cleaners if no one in the house smokes a pipe?
