I think the tiny self damage on some of the cannon's attacks are there to trigger self damage effects like the damage buff you had in the 1st run. I appreciate when games provide some ways to enable that kind of build without the need to get directly hit, it tends to be a fun playstyle.
The ‘heavy’ attack on the gun, the shotgun blast, counts as dodge for power up activations. Quick rise is when you get hit and knocked down and then press dodge just as your body lands (normally reduces time getting up but with power up can provide heals)
I think Klei should make the dodge button also trigger that shotgun attack when using the cannon. This would make it much easier for people to Intuit that shotgun = dodge for this weapon
actually, devil may cry 5 IS co-op... Kind of. Other players do show up in the background while you go through levels, and on top of that, there IS a level where they actually fight alongside you. It's not as impossible as you'd think.
