Yeah, at first I saw him used bricks for mold, I almost exit out but I give a benefit of doubt to the end then he prove me wrong, so I was glad to seed the final result of that beautiful cistern. I'm in nee of this wonderful pice for the same purpose. Some one throw away a large ceramic broken pot in 3 pieces so I repaired it and have rain water on it then Bettas and water lily. Cool pond for less and Bettas don't complain too much.

Great engineering. Grandpa Amu is an inspiration. My only reservation is that the fish will need fresh water to survive and there’s no way to supply that except dipping it out with a bucket or siphoning. However, Grandpa probably has that all figured out and I hope he makes another video showing how.
The “fines” should settle out in a few days and the water won’t be so cloudy. GrandPa will probably put a water bearing plant in there and also a waterfall to better aerate the water. Actually to be honest I think that pot will be used for a potted plant of some kind. That’s a strange shaped bowl and way too deep for those fish.

Great, I've never seen a clay pot made that way before. But considering how large it is, that would be the most logical way of making one of that size.
Сделав несколько и соединив в систему движения - рыба могла бы получать свежию воду не покидая изначальный резервуар! А также сделав закрытые резервуары сделав отдельно крышки можно сделать резервуары - асенизации и просто менять на новые извлекая старые заполненные с содержимым если соответственно вмантировать скобы транспортировки!

Is very common for professional bricklayers use bricks as a mold, good job Amu

You are right. Probably choose same easy to live fishes and drain the bottom of tank couple days once and get the dirty water to vegetables.
