Yes, it's a bummer that the Seravee 2 hat can't transform, but the kit is an absolute blast despite that, and I highly recommend it. It's just so dang WEIRD, and it's great for specifically that reason. To anyone who builds it, paint the Seravee 2 head, and prop it up on something* for awhile beside the Raphael (who is TALL boy, by the way). They look great together and apart. * The included mini-stand can support the Seravee 2 upside down, but.. it won't support it 'upright,' unfortunately.
If there's something I want for the Zabanya, it would be a master grade treatment with fully functional holster bits and all of them have guns you can put inside
Agreed, considering the comparisons to the heavy arms and/or other funnel/bit users I have to sigh and shake my head and just wait for a MG or something.
If you’re in the US, Newtype is a big gunpla store. They are a bunch of these type of stores that are small but ship really fast. I got 3 mg kits and within 5 days it arrived from east coast to the west in CA
I was really hyped up when this was announced. But seeing some reviews, I think this was a letdown. Not enough bits to recreate the iconic scenes from the movie. :(

I'm really glad I watched this review! I was hesitant to pick up the Zabanya but I was excited for the posing possibilities with all the shield bus, but this review convinced me it wasn't what I was looking for
Haven't watch this video yet, but just by scanning through the images from gundaminfo, I'm already disappointed that we still can't recreate the 3 diamond gerobi canon pose.
Honestly speaking, you could probably just get the normal standard Zabanya kit for a cheaper and somewhat better availability and price, find someone selling a resin upgrade kit for it and then get a stand. It is nice that we finally have a way to display more bits, but I wish more could have been done to make it as awesome as Harute.
Thanks for the review and the verdict of this is Justified. You'd think that as a PBandai kit that they would improve this thing and make it better, But No. They decided to milk the kit while spending almost NOTHING to develop the Shoulder Binders. It does'nt help as well that the Normal Release of this Kit only have 2 functioning GN Rifle Bits and 2 GN Holster Bits. For you to be able to replicate the Indiscriminate Firing scene from the movie, You would need this PBandai kit and 6 of the Normal Releases or 4 Normal Releases if you dont mind the White Pieces of the GN Rifle Bits from PBandai. That's basically wasting 6 Zabanya Kits just to obtain what you want/expected this thing to be. At that point, might as well find the Resin Kit since that comes with accessories and a stand.
@@LatencyProblem not alot but i have a couple of them. Pretty sure atleast about 20+ PBandai Kits ranging from EW Wing kits, some HGBF. Some 00s especially the Plutone one, thats really good. With the quality of the releases, it varies from good to disappointing. This one counts as a disappointment especially as a Gundam 00 Fan. I didn't have the chance to get this but i will eventually get it with Harute Final. It's just that in my eyes, it's so stupid that there's no effort made what so ever. Like they are deliberately saying buy multiple of these. Harute Final is okay though.
Question Mecha, did you place a PC on while puting the butt together? Coz it is supposed to hold that GN Drive Butt on place. Coz the regular Zabanya I have don't fall off.
Shot in the dark, but if you still have the leftover runners from your Cherudim Gundam Saga I think that still came with the parts this kit is asking for.

The 00 S2/movie kits technically have double-jointed elbows bc of the forearm polycap. They just don't have much range, maybe like 10-20 degrees of bend.

I've actually assembled gundam zabanya yesterday,some instruction from the manual doesnt seem to follow for the output unable to put some parts of it specially in the mobile suit,you have to be observant,but i like its weapons i attached them all,satisfied in my part.
This figure is pretty disappointing in terms of features... Let's hope we eventually get Master Grades of the Harute, Zabanya & Raphael. Although getting the Arios, Cherudim & Seravee/Seraphim first would also be nice.
My zabanya didn’t need anything to get the backpack peg to stick in, but one of the poly caps in it’s left leg doesn’t really want to hold that leg in, and the leg falls out sometimes when I pick it up oh well
Ay Mecha, if JobbyTheHong did review that kit and found out that those GN Shield Bits's pegs were found outta nowhere, Gundam Ghost may came back to him lol.
In regards to the bits stand adapter it’s even worse if you do have it as the weight of the bit event when guns aren’t stored is front heavy and just topples over.
The plastic quality for the final battle ver is better than the original zabanya. I have both. The retail I got in 2010 and the pbandai final battle battle ver I got this year

I feel like people miss the point of P-Bandai, which isn’t to give you something “premium” (isn’t it called something else in Japan?) but rather to make kits available that wouldn’t sell well, but are made anyway as little passion projects. I really don’t think they were ever meant as a premium item.

The increased price was likely part of how they could justify the idea originally, though now it’s likely more of a sales pitch point. The argument doesn’t fall apart at all, you just don’t like it.

P-Bandai is a way to market non-mainstream kits in a way that guarantees that Bandai will earn from it. Because the higher price is balanced in the lower availability of the kit, which is targeted for the few people who would want said kit.

I had the original zabanya and I loved it. The bit older on the back skirt is definitely just a problem as well on your kit since it wasng an issue on mine. My only problems with the kit was the stickers and the lack of more usable bits

May be you have put the PC part backwards like what you did last time with the cherudim saga review or you put the wrong PC as PC1 and PC7 are very similar or the PC is damaged already.
IDK, it's like you forget that this a decade old HG kit of non-main gundam. There have been good kits from that era but not all of them, and this on is somewhat on the fence. HG's have been the de facto entry grade before EG was retooled into a proper grade, so the inaccuracy in color & parts separation are expected. The Zabanya design itself is too full of intricate details that was past their budget to adapt to the scale of HG. And as we've seen b4, Bandai tends to leave suport mech/gundam on the wayside. They just get those kits done, put them aside, and they don't get much love after. I do agree that the repeat runners are laziest aspect about this, and while I don't care much about the gn bits, a custom stand should have been included. But it feels like for everything else, you hyped up your expectations.
I feel like this kit was only released because they couldn't be bothered to reissue the original one and decided that they wanted that P-bandai money for the kit instead. It probably wouldn't be such a disappointing kit if it was mass retail or if they just included some basic parts. I'm pretty sure that shield bit stand was a separate runner for Cherudim so it isn't as if it would have been too much of an ask to at least include that. It's a shame because I love the 00 suit designs, they're probably my favourite but, seeing Bandai go so half-assed on them just kinda hurts. Especially after they released the Plutone, I was really hoping they would put in some decent effort for future P-bandai 00 kits Edit: So it wasn't a separate runner for the stand but it was still an easily separated out part that they could have added

I love this suit in the movie. The true king of beam spam in Gundam. Also, having Anew's Haro in the cockpit made it extra special.

Can confirm Action Base 2s are still in production. I only use them for SDs and lower-end HGs since the other versions are just superior in every way

this is an example for lazy p-bandai, bandai just re-use old kit, add some stuff and make it p-bandai
If you really want to do it you can buy another final battle version and a regular retail one to have a fully working zabanya
well we are always getting a re- issue kit for the upgraded version

I do hope Bandai would make Master Grade versions for the rest of the season 2 and movie suits. An MG would be awesome for this suit

Camera on the shoulder can pop up?
I use a mixture of the Action Base 2, 4, and 5. I have a couple of 1's, but not in love with them.
I do love the Zabanya, and I will buy a kit, but still, Bandai should improve this kit.
IDK, it's like you forget that this a decade old HG kit of non-main gundam.
There have been good kits from that era but not all of them, and this on is somewhat on the fence. HG's have been the de facto entry grade before EG was retooled into a proper grade, so the inaccuracy in color & parts separation are expected. The Zabanya design itself is too full of intricate details that was past their budget to adapt to the scale of HG. And as we've seen b4, Bandai tends to leave suport mech/gundam on the wayside. They just get those kits done, put them aside, and they don't get much love after.
I do agree that the repeat runners are laziest aspect about this, and while I don't care much about the gn bits, a custom stand should have been included. But it feels like for everything else, you hyped up your expectations.

My problem with these reviews is you're acting as if these kits released this year when they are over 12 years old and are simply just a re-release.

I feel like this kit was only released because they couldn't be bothered to reissue the original one and decided that they wanted that P-bandai money for the kit instead. It probably wouldn't be such a disappointing kit if it was mass retail or if they just included some basic parts. I'm pretty sure that shield bit stand was a separate runner for Cherudim so it isn't as if it would have been too much of an ask to at least include that. It's a shame because I love the 00 suit designs, they're probably my favourite but, seeing Bandai go so half-assed on them just kinda hurts. Especially after they released the Plutone, I was really hoping they would put in some decent effort for future P-bandai 00 kits
Edit: So it wasn't a separate runner for the stand but it was still an easily separated out part that they could have added
